The TAC is a brief individually delivered intervention based on the principles of Motivational Interviewing and focuses on increasing students' motivation to reduce harmful drinking by drinking in a safer, less risky manner. Participants will receive information on their drinking (both from the TAC sensor and daily diary data). Participants will be asked about drinking events during the past 2 weeks (how reflective they were of typical patterns and if a night stood out as particularly negative). Students will receive information and visual representations about TAC rise rates and peaks, and then be shown how their drinking during the past 2 weeks maps onto those visuals.",[18],"Behavioral: eCHECKUPTOGO + brief personalized alcohol biomarker feedback intervention (eCTG + TAC)",[20,24],{"type":21,"name":9,"description":11,"armGroupLabels":22,"otherNames":23},"BEHAVIORAL",[9],null,{"type":21,"name":25,"description":16,"armGroupLabels":26,"otherNames":23},"eCHECKUPTOGO + brief personalized alcohol biomarker feedback intervention (eCTG + TAC)",[15],[28],{"name":29,"affiliation":30,"role":31},"Kimberly Mallett, PhD","The Pennsylvania State University","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",[33,37],{"name":29,"role":34,"phone":35,"phoneExt":23,"email":36},"CONTACT","814-441-6398","kmallett@psu.edu",{"name":38,"role":34,"phone":39,"phoneExt":23,"email":40},"Rob Turrisi, PhD","814-865-7808","rturrisi@psu.edu",[42],{"facility":30,"status":23,"city":43,"state":44,"zip":45,"country":46,"countryCode":47,"cosmosGeoPoint":48,"geoPoint":53,"contacts":54},"University Park","Pennsylvania","16802","United States","US",{"type":49,"coordinates":50},"Point",[51,52],-77.85639,40.80201,{"lat":52,"lon":51},[55,56],{"name":29,"role":34,"phone":35,"phoneExt":23,"email":36},{"name":38,"role":34,"phone":39,"phoneExt":23,"email":40},{"type":31,"investigatorFullName":58,"investigatorTitle":59,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":23,"oldOrganization":23},"Kimberly Mallett","Research Professor","100616570","biomarker-feedback-intervention-100616570",false,"NCT07307326","Biomarker Feedback Intervention","An Examination of the Feasibility of a Brief Personalized Alcohol Biomarker Feedback Intervention for High-risk College Students","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Between the ages of 18-23 at enrollment\n* Endorse drinking 4+\u002F5+ (women\u002Fmen) on a typical Friday or Saturday in the past 3-months\n* Report at least 1 alcohol-induced blackout in the past 3-months\n* Willing to wear a TAC sensor for 14 days at Waves 1 and 2\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Younger than 18 at baseline\n* Not fluent in English\n* No Internet access",true,"ALL","18 Years","23 Years",{"count":72,"type":73},150,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[76],"NA","The goal of the study is to examine alcohol use behaviors of young adults through the use of testing the feasibility of adding an innovative brief personalized alcohol biomarker feedback component (TAC feedback) to an existing efficacious personalized feedback intervention, eCHECKUP TO GO (eCTG), and how (if at all) the intervention impacts drinking behaviors in high-risk college students.
