Although polysomnography is commonly used for clinical assessment, its application may be limited by time, cost, and accessibility. Recent advances in noninvasive monitoring technologies have provided new possibilities for sleep-related assessment. This study will collect and integrate multiple physiological signals from pediatric participants undergoing routine sleep examinations and to develop a data-driven model for evaluating sleep-related respiratory conditions. Clinical examination results will be used as the reference for model development and validation. The findings of this study are expected to support the development of a convenient and noninvasive approach for pediatric sleep assessment and may provide a reference for future clinical and home-based applications.","patient of affiliated university hospital",[19,23,26],{"type":20,"name":21,"description":22,"armGroupLabels":11,"otherNames":11},"DEVICE","fingertip pulse oximeter","a small device placed on the finger to measure blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate noninvasively",{"type":20,"name":24,"description":25,"armGroupLabels":11,"otherNames":11},"pressure-sensing mattresses","using ballistocardiography for monitoring respiration and heart rate",{"type":20,"name":27,"description":28,"armGroupLabels":11,"otherNames":11},"millimeter-wave radar","using millimeter-wave radar technology based on the Doppler effect, the device continuously monitors respiratory-related chest wall movements",[30],{"name":31,"affiliation":5,"role":32},"Ke-Yun Chao, PhD","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",[34],{"name":31,"role":35,"phone":36,"phoneExt":11,"email":37},"CONTACT","+886-905-301-879","C00152@mail.fjuh.fju.edu.tw",[39],{"facility":40,"status":11,"city":41,"state":11,"zip":42,"country":43,"countryCode":44,"cosmosGeoPoint":45,"geoPoint":50,"contacts":51},"Fu Jen Catholic University Hospital, Fu Jen Catholic University","New Taipei City","24352","Taiwan","TW",{"type":46,"coordinates":47},"Point",[48,49],121.45703,25.06199,{"lat":49,"lon":48},[52],{"name":31,"role":35,"phone":36,"phoneExt":11,"email":37},{"type":32,"investigatorFullName":54,"investigatorTitle":55,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":11,"oldOrganization":11},"Ke-Yun, Chao","Assistant Professor","100654824","development-of-a-multimodal-deep-learning-model-for-pediatric-patients-100654824",false,"NCT07805486","Development of a Multimodal Deep Learning Model for Pediatric Patients","Development of an Artificial Intelligence-Based Model for Assessing the Severity of Pediatric Obstructive Sleep Apnea","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Individuals with clinical suspicion of obstructive sleep apnea who are referred for polysomnography\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Intolerance to a fingertip or wrap-around pulse oximeter\n* Presence of significant structural abnormalities of the upper airway\n* Cardiac arrhythmia\n* Neuromuscular disease\n* Hospitalization within the previous one month","ALL","4 Years","18 Years",{"count":67,"type":68},50,"ESTIMATED","OBSERVATIONAL","This study aims to develop a multimodal data-driven model integrating multiple noninvasive physiological signals to assess the severity of pediatric sleep-disordered breathing, using standard clinical sleep study results as the reference.",[72,73],"Pediatric Obstructive Sleep Apnea","Polysomnography",[75,76,77,27,78],"pediatric obstructive sleep apnea","polysomnography","smart mattress","multimodal deep learning","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-09-04",{"date":82,"type":83},"2026-09-10","ACTUAL",{"date":85,"type":68},"2026-09-01",{"date":87,"type":68},"2027-07-31",{"name":5,"class":6},1]
