Fan-cut KT is thought to lift the skin and alter the space between the skin and underlying tissues, potentially affecting local blood and lymphatic circulation. Ankle pumping exercise produces repetitive contractions of the lower-leg muscles and may further influence peripheral circulation through the muscle-pump mechanism. However, the acute effects of KT alone and KT combined with ankle pumping exercise on deep arterial hemodynamics remain unclear.\n\nThis randomized controlled trial will investigate the acute effects of KT alone and KT combined with ankle pumping exercise on peripheral arterial hemodynamics in healthy adults. A total of 52 participants will be randomly allocated in a 1:1 ratio to either a kinesiology taping group (K group, n=26) or a kinesiology taping combined with ankle pumping exercise group (KE group, n=26).\n\nFollowing baseline assessment, participants in both groups will receive fan-cut kinesiology taping around the ankle region. Participants in the KE group will additionally perform ankle pumping exercise consisting of approximately 2 seconds of ankle dorsiflexion followed by 2 seconds of plantar flexion. The exercise will be performed for five cycles, with each cycle consisting of 1 minute of exercise followed by 2 minutes of rest. Participants in the K group will rest without exercise during the corresponding period.\n\nDoppler ultrasound will be used to assess hemodynamic responses in the anterior tibial artery and posterior tibial artery. Measurements will be obtained at baseline, immediately after kinesiology taping, and 15 minutes after the subsequent exercise or resting period. Hemodynamic parameters will include peak systolic velocity, end-diastolic velocity, mean velocity, time-averaged peak velocity, blood flow volume, resistive index, pulsatility index, and systolic\u002Fdiastolic ratio.\n\nThe study will compare changes in arterial hemodynamic parameters between the two groups to determine whether adding ankle pumping exercise to kinesiology taping produces different acute hemodynamic responses compared with kinesiology taping alone.",[26,32],{"label":27,"type":28,"description":29,"interventionNames":30},"Kinesiology Taping (K)","EXPERIMENTAL","Participants will receive fan-cut kinesiology taping around the ankle region.
