This favors the process of apical and periapical repair after endodontic therapy. An ideal root canal sealer must have adequate physical, chemical, and biological properties.\n\nSeveral factors can affect the success of RCT, including the type and composition of sealer utilized. The presence and release of substances from the sealers can cause different reactions when in contact with tissue.\n\nAH Plus, an epoxy resin-based sealer, is considered the gold standard among root canal sealers due to its excellent physical, chemical, and biological properties. However, the biocompatibility of this sealer remains a subject of debate, as some studies raise concerns about potential inflammatory responses or cytotoxic effects associated with resin-based sealers.\n\nRecent advancements have introduced bioceramic-based sealer composed of zirconium oxide, calcium silicates, calcium phosphates, and calcium hydroxide. This sealer is available in pre-mixed syringes for easy application and exhibit hydrophilic properties, allowing for setting reactions in a moist environment within the root canal, thus preventing shrinkage. Moreover, bioceramic-based sealers exhibit favorable biocompatibility due to their similarity to dentin and ability to stimulate mineralization.\n\nNeoSealer Flo (NeoFlo, NuSmile, Houston, TX, USA) is a ready-to-use bioceramic root canal sealer. According to the manufacturer, it has hydroxyapatite formation ability, biocompatibility, dimensional stability, and antimicrobial activity. NeoFlo has adequate physicochemical properties and releases biologically active ions, such as calcium and phosphate. The addition of cetrimide to NeoSealer Flo promoted a greater inflammatory reaction, but the reduction of inflammatory cells and rearrangement of connective tissue suggests that NeoSealer Flo and the associations with cetrimide are biocompatible and have bioactive potential.\n\nEndodontic treatment comprises the overall management of pre-, intra- and post-operative symptoms, including post-operative endodontic pain, considered as a complication susceptible to chronicization. Post-operative pain is very common and highly unpreventable and has a multifactorial etiology and a potential pathogenic link to the acute inflammation of the periapical area, secondary to localized chemical, mechanical, host and\u002For microbial damage occurring during endodontic treatment.",[27,33],{"label":28,"type":29,"description":30,"interventionNames":31},"AH plus sealer","ACTIVE_COMPARATOR","About 15 cases will undergo the AH plus sealer during obturation After complete preparation of the root canal system",[32],"Procedure: AH plus sealer",{"label":34,"type":29,"description":35,"interventionNames":36},"NeoSEALER FLO","About 15 cases will undergo the Neo Sealer FLO during obturation After complete preparation of the root canal system",[32],[38],{"type":39,"name":28,"description":40,"armGroupLabels":41,"otherNames":42},"PROCEDURE","to evaluate and compare postoperative pain and periapical healing after root canal treatment using two different base endodontic sealers:\n\n* NeoSEALER Flo\n* AH plus Resin sealer",[28,34],[34],[44],{"name":45,"affiliation":46,"role":47},"Maged Mohamed Negm, M.D","Professor of Endodontics, Faculty of Dentistry,Cairo University","STUDY_CHAIR",[49,54],{"name":50,"role":51,"phone":52,"phoneExt":18,"email":53},"Allaa Mohamed Kamel Mohamed, MSC","CONTACT","+201006767773","allaa91mk@gmail.com",{"name":55,"role":51,"phone":18,"phoneExt":18,"email":56},"Maged Mohamed Negm, professor","drmagednegm@gmail.com",[58],{"facility":59,"status":60,"city":61,"state":18,"zip":18,"country":62,"countryCode":63,"cosmosGeoPoint":64,"geoPoint":69,"contacts":70},"Minia University, Faculty of Dentistry","RECRUITING","Minya","Egypt","EG",{"type":65,"coordinates":66},"Point",[67,68],30.75813,28.09193,{"lat":68,"lon":67},[71],{"name":72,"role":51,"phone":73,"phoneExt":18,"email":74},"Ahmed Ali Yossef, Lecturer","+201007335293","ahmed.yousef@mu.edu.eg",{"type":76,"investigatorFullName":77,"investigatorTitle":78,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":18,"oldOrganization":18},"PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR","Allaa Mohamed Kamel","Assistant lecturer at Endodontics Department,Faculty of Dentistry,Lotus University","100653253","effect-of-neosealer-flo-and-ah-plus-resin-sealer-on-postoperative-pain-and-healing-of-periapical-lesions-100653253",false,"NCT07785973","Effect of NeoSEALER FLO and AH Plus Resin Sealer on Postoperative Pain and Healing of Periapical Lesions","Effect of NeoSEALER FLO and AH Plus Resin Sealer on Postoperative Pain and Healing of Periapical Lesions: A Randomized Clinical Study","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients with mature permanent teeth.\n* Patients with apical periodontitis.\n* Maxillary anterior teeth only will be involved.\n* Patients should be free from any systemic disease that may affect normal healing and predictable outcome.\n* Patients who will agree to the consent and will commit to follow-up period.\n* The selected teeth should have periapical lesion score ≤3\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients with immature canals.\n* Patients with swelling.\n* Pregnant females.\n* Patients who could\u002Fwould not participate in a 1-year follow-up.\n* Geriatric patients.\n* Patients with old age.\n* Teeth with periodontal involvement.\n* Teeth with vertical root fractures.\n* Non-restorable teeth.\n* cases with previously initiated endodontic treatment.",true,"ALL","20 Years","40 Years",{"count":91,"type":92},30,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[95],"NA","Tissue repair is an essential process that reestablishes tissue integrity and regular function.
