Lactis as an Adjunct to Phototherapy in the Treatment of Indirect Hyperbilirubinemia in Term Neonates","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Age from 0-28 days.\n* Gestational age 37-42 weeks.\n* Diagnosed with indirect hyperbilirubinemia according to the AAP 2022 guidelines.\n* Eligible for phototherapy based on serum total bilirubin levels\n* Informed consent obtained from a parent or legal guardian.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Direct hyperbilirubinemia (direct bilirubin \\>2.0 mg\u002FdL and \\>20% of total serum bilirubin).\n* Major congenital anomalies or severe concurrent illness (e.g., respiratory failure, intracranial hemorrhage).\n* Indication for exchange transfusion, intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) or phenobarbital according to the AAP 2022 guidelines.\n* Neonatal sepsis, blood group incompatibility, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, red blood cell membrane disorders.\n* Suspected gastrointestinal obstruction.\n* Unable to tolerate oral feeding.","ALL","28 Days",{"count":71,"type":72},90,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[75],"NA","This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of adjunctive oral Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis in term neonates with indirect hyperbilirubinemia receiving phototherapy.
