The study examines whether an acute change in tonic muscle distribution, induced by individually selected active prisms, is associated with a change in the complexity and adaptability of nonlinear dynamics and with improvements in reading, motor control and attention in young adults with developmental dyslexia.\n\nAfter written informed consent and medical verification of eligibility, participants will complete proprioceptive assessments and baseline tasks: rapid word naming, silent reading with eye tracking, and single-leg standing tasks with and without working-memory demands while postural movement and gaze-related measures are recorded. Proprioceptive testing will include the podal convergence maneuver and spatial and perceptual assessments; a foveascope assessment is also performed.\n\nIn the dyslexia group, active prisms of 0.25-3 prism diopters will be selected to modify tonic muscle distribution. Participants will repeat the baseline tasks while wearing trial frames with active prisms. Typical readers will repeat the same tasks wearing their usual unmodified glasses or trial frames with plain lenses, without active prisms. The control group will provide an estimate of repeated-testing effects. The order of experimental postural tasks and assignment of reading texts will be randomized.\n\nAnalyses will examine within-participant changes and differences between groups. Repeated-measures parametric analyses are planned for normally distributed data, with non-parametric alternatives if distributional assumptions are not met. The intervention is brief and is not the complete long-term proprioceptive management program.",[63,69],{"label":64,"type":65,"description":66,"interventionNames":67},"Active Prisms (Developmental Dyslexia)","EXPERIMENTAL","Participants with documented developmental dyslexia will undergo assessments before and after receiving individually selected active prisms (0.25-3 prism diopters).",[68],"Device: Individually Selected Active Prisms.",{"label":70,"type":71,"description":72,"interventionNames":58},"No Active Prisms (Typical Readers)","NO_INTERVENTION","Typical readers will undergo baseline and repeat assessments while wearing their usual unmodified glasses or plain trial lenses, without active prisms.",[74],{"type":75,"name":76,"description":77,"armGroupLabels":78,"otherNames":58},"DEVICE","Individually Selected Active Prisms.","Individually selected active prisms (0.25-3 prism diopters) will be worn during post-intervention assessments by participants with dyslexia to modify tonic muscle distribution. AUTO-DYS investigates whether a single, brief intervention using active prisms changes the complexity of nonlinear movement dynamics and reading automaticity in young adults with dyslexia. This single-center, prospective, non-randomized controlled study will enroll 66 adults aged 18-30 years: 33 with developmental dyslexia and 33 typical readers. All participants will undergo reading, postural-control, and working-memory assessments before and after an experimental period during one visit. Only participants with dyslexia will receive individually selected active prisms; typical readers will repeat the assessments without active prisms.
