Contact of blood with the extracorporeal circuit, surgical trauma, ischemia-reperfusion injury, and perioperative factors may contribute to this response. Minimally invasive extracorporeal circulation systems are designed to reduce blood-air contact, circuit surface area, and hemodilution and may therefore attenuate the inflammatory response compared with conventional cardiopulmonary bypass.\n\nIn this prospective observational study, patients undergoing elective coronary artery bypass graft surgery will be evaluated according to whether minimally invasive extracorporeal circulation or conventional extracorporeal circulation is used during surgery. No treatment assignment will be made by the study protocol.\n\nInflammatory response will be assessed using neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio, platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio, and systemic immune-inflammation index calculated from routinely obtained laboratory measurements. Measurements will be evaluated preoperatively, at 6 hours after surgery, at 24 hours after surgery, and at hospital discharge. Perioperative variables and postoperative clinical outcomes will also be recorded for comparison between the two groups.","Adult patients aged 30-70 years undergoing elective coronary artery bypass graft surgery with either minimally invasive extracorporeal circulation or conventional cardiopulmonary bypass at Bursa Yuksek Ihtisas Training and Research Hospital.",[26,31],{"label":27,"type":19,"description":28,"interventionNames":29},"MIECC Group","Patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery using minimally invasive extracorporeal circulation (MIECC) as part of routine clinical care.",[30],"Procedure: Minimally Invasive Extracorporeal Circulation",{"label":32,"type":19,"description":33,"interventionNames":34},"Conventional Cardiopulmonary Bypass Group","Patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery using conventional cardiopulmonary bypass as part of routine clinical care.",[35],"Procedure: Conventional Cardiopulmonary Bypass",[37,42],{"type":38,"name":39,"description":40,"armGroupLabels":41,"otherNames":19},"PROCEDURE","Minimally Invasive Extracorporeal Circulation","Use of a minimally invasive extracorporeal circulation system during coronary artery bypass graft surgery as part of routine clinical care.",[27],{"type":38,"name":43,"description":44,"armGroupLabels":45,"otherNames":19},"Conventional Cardiopulmonary Bypass","Use of conventional cardiopulmonary bypass during coronary artery bypass graft surgery as part of routine clinical care.",[32],[47],{"name":48,"role":49,"phone":50,"phoneExt":19,"email":51},"Ümran Karaca, M.D.","CONTACT","+90 505 494 16 87","umransuna@gmail.com",[53],{"facility":5,"status":54,"city":55,"state":55,"zip":56,"country":57,"countryCode":19,"cosmosGeoPoint":58,"geoPoint":63,"contacts":64},"RECRUITING","Bursa","16000","Turkey (Türkiye)",{"type":59,"coordinates":60},"Point",[61,62],29.06013,40.19559,{"lat":62,"lon":61},[65],{"name":48,"role":49,"phone":50,"phoneExt":19,"email":51},{"type":67,"investigatorFullName":68,"investigatorTitle":69,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":19,"oldOrganization":19},"PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR","Umran Karaca","Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Reanimation","100656143","miecc-vs-conventional-cardiopulmonary-bypass-and-systemic-inflammation-in-cabg-100656143",false,"NCT07823400","MIECC vs Conventional Cardiopulmonary Bypass and Systemic Inflammation in CABG","Comparison of the Effects of Minimally Invasive and Conventional Extracorporeal Circulation on Systemic Inflammation Indices in Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery","MIECC-CABG","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Age 30-70 years\n* Patients undergoing elective coronary artery bypass graft surgery\n* Patients in whom cardiopulmonary bypass is planned\n* Written informed consent obtained\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Emergency surgery\n* Redo cardiac surgery\n* Concomitant valve surgery\n* Previous open heart surgery\n* Preoperative renal and\u002For hepatic failure\n* Malignancy\n* Active infection or inflammatory disease-","ALL","30 Years","70 Years",{"count":82,"type":83},80,"ESTIMATED","OBSERVATIONAL","This prospective observational study evaluates the effects of minimally invasive extracorporeal circulation (MIECC) and conventional cardiopulmonary bypass on systemic inflammatory response in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery.
