The specimens will be exposed to therapeutic radiation and randomly assigned to two groups. One group will receive nano silver fluoride solution, while the other will receive bioactive glass gel. Enamel specimens will be evaluated at baseline, after radiation exposure, and after application of the assigned material. Assessments will include scanning electron microscopy for surface morphology, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy for mineral analysis, and Vickers microhardness testing.\n\nFor the in vivo component, 30 pediatric patients undergoing therapeutic head and neck radiotherapy will be randomly allocated into two groups of 15 participants. The first group will receive a single application of nano silver fluoride solution for one minute. The second group will use bioactive glass gel once daily for one minute for seven days. Clinical assessment will include measurement of salivary pH and bacterial counts before and after application of the assigned intervention.",[26,32],{"label":27,"type":28,"description":29,"interventionNames":30},"Nano Silver Fluoride","EXPERIMENTAL","Participants will receive a single application of nano silver fluoride solution for 1 minute.",[31],"Other: Nano Silver Fluoride",{"label":33,"type":28,"description":34,"interventionNames":35},"Bioactive Glass Gel","Participants will receive bioactive glass gel once daily for 1 minute for 7 days",[36],"Other: Bioactive Glass Gel",[38,44],{"type":39,"name":27,"description":40,"armGroupLabels":41,"otherNames":42},"OTHER","Nano silver fluoride solution will be topically applied once for 1 minute",[27],[43],"nano silver flouride",{"type":39,"name":33,"description":45,"armGroupLabels":46,"otherNames":16},"Bioactive glass gel will be topically applied once daily for 1 minute for 7 consecutive days",[33],[48],{"facility":49,"status":50,"city":51,"state":52,"zip":53,"country":54,"countryCode":55,"cosmosGeoPoint":56,"geoPoint":61,"contacts":62},"National Cancer Institute, Cairo University","RECRUITING","Cairo","Cairo Governorate","11796","Egypt","EG",{"type":57,"coordinates":58},"Point",[59,60],31.24967,30.06263,{"lat":60,"lon":59},[63],{"name":64,"role":65,"phone":66,"phoneExt":16,"email":67},"Eman Eldebawy, professor","CONTACT","+20 112 226 0379","Eman_Eldebawy@gmail.com",{"type":69,"investigatorFullName":70,"investigatorTitle":71,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":16,"oldOrganization":16},"PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR","somia mohamed refat mostafa selim","Assistant Lecturer","100659589","nano-silver-versus-bioactive-glass-for-primary-teeth-exposed-to-therapeutic-radiation-100659589",false,"NCT07866482","Nano-Silver Versus Bioactive Glass for Primary Teeth Exposed to Therapeutic Radiation","Antimicrobial and Remineralization Efficacy of Nano-Silver Versus Bioactive Glass on Primary Teeth Exposed to Therapeutic Radiation","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Pediatric patients undergoing therapeutic head and neck radiotherapy.\n* Age 6 to 10 years.\n* Presence of at least one sound primary tooth.\n* The oral cavity lies within the radiotherapy field during treatment.\n* Written informed consent obtained from a parent or legal guardian.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Systemic diseases affecting tooth mineralization.\n* Use of medications known to influence salivary flow or enamel integrity, other than radiotherapy.\n* Edentulous upper and lower jaws.\n* Extensive dental caries or severe enamel defects.\n* Habitual mouth breathing.\n* Uncooperative patients or lack of parental consent.","ALL","6 Years","10 Years",{"count":83,"type":84},30,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[87],"NA","This study aims to evaluate and compare the remineralizing and antimicrobial effects of nano silver fluoride and bioactive glass gel on primary teeth exposed to therapeutic radiation.
