The primary purpose of the registry is to investigate the best treatment strategies in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) and their associated outcomes in routine clinical practice, including complex procedures (e.g. chronic total occlusions (CTO), bifurcation lesions, left main interventions), the use of drug-coated balloons (DCB) and bioresorbable scaffolds (BRS), as well as standard drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation.\n\nData are derived retrospectively from routine clinical practice at the University Hospital Basel. Relevant procedural, clinical, and follow-up information is extracted from existing sources such as the catheterization lab reports, and the electronic health record (Cardioapp). No additional data collection or invasive study-specific interventions are performed for the purpose of this registry.\n\nWhere applicable, data from previous research projects or registries may also be incorporated, provided that all legal and ethical requirements are satisfied. All data will be pseudonymised before analysis. A secure decoding key linking registry numbers to patient identifiers is kept separately and is accessible only to authorized personnel under the responsibility of the Principal Investigator.","The study population consits of patients undergoing percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) at the University Hospital Basel",[44,47],{"name":45,"affiliation":5,"role":46},"Gregor Leibundgut, Prof. Dr. med.","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",{"name":48,"affiliation":5,"role":46},"Jasper Boeddinghaus, PD Dr. med.",[50,55],{"name":45,"role":51,"phone":52,"phoneExt":53,"email":54},"CONTACT","(0)61 556 58 18","0041","gregor.leibundgut@usb.ch",{"name":48,"role":51,"phone":56,"phoneExt":53,"email":57},"(0)61 328 78 97","jasper.boeddinghaus@usb.ch",[59],{"facility":60,"status":61,"city":62,"state":63,"zip":64,"country":65,"countryCode":66,"cosmosGeoPoint":67,"geoPoint":72,"contacts":73},"University Hospital Basel","RECRUITING","Basel","Canton of Basel-City","4031","Switzerland","CH",{"type":68,"coordinates":69},"Point",[70,71],7.57327,47.55839,{"lat":71,"lon":70},[74,75,76,77],{"name":45,"role":51,"phone":52,"phoneExt":53,"email":54},{"name":48,"role":51,"phone":56,"phoneExt":53,"email":57},{"name":45,"role":46,"phone":13,"phoneExt":13,"email":13},{"name":48,"role":46,"phone":13,"phoneExt":13,"email":13},{"type":79,"investigatorFullName":13,"investigatorTitle":13,"investigatorAffiliation":13,"oldNameTitle":13,"oldOrganization":13},"SPONSOR","100655451","pci-registry-basel-100655451",false,"NCT07814157","PCI Registry Basel","Inclusion Criteria:\n\nPatients treated at the University Hospital Basel\n\n* Undergoing complex PCI (e.g. left main, bifurcation, multivessel PCI, rotational atherectomy or other calcium modification, complex anatomy). Information from routine medical care will be collected to compare different treatment approaches, including drug-eluting stents, drug-coated balloons (DCB), and bioresorbable scaffolds (BRS), which gradually dissolve over time.
