Pluvicto is a targeted radioligand therapy. It works like a guided missile, combining tumor seeking molecules with a radioactive isotope. It circulates through the bloodstream, binds to a protein on prostate cancer cells called prostate specific membrane antigen, and destroys them using radiation.
