Data will be collected at all participating centres during two separate two-week periods every year over the course of five consecutive years. Patients with underlying chronic lung diseases in an inpatient or outpatient setting with at least one respiratory sample collected over the prior 12 months will be included. The diagnostic criteria will follow standard clinical procedures. The data will be pseudonymized before being entered into the electronic case report form (eCRF) prepared with RedCap. After signing the informed consent, clinical, demographic, and microbiological variables will be collected. To facilitate the collection of some demographic and clinical variables, a questionnaire will be administered at recruitment.\n\nAll procedures whose data will be collected for this protocol fall within normal clinical practice and are in accordance with the standard operating procedures in place at the centre.
