Although interference screws are widely used for tibial fixation, the optimal screw material remains uncertain, particularly regarding its effect on tibial tunnel widening and graft incorporation.\n\nAdult patients undergoing primary ACL reconstruction with a quadriceps tendon autograft using a standardized surgical technique will be randomly assigned to one of the three tibial fixation methods. The primary outcome is tibial tunnel widening measured by computed tomography (CT) 12 months after surgery. Secondary outcomes include graft integration assessed by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and patient-reported clinical outcomes, including the Lysholm, Tegner, KOOS, and ACL-Return to Sport after Injury (ACL-RSI) scores, collected during routine follow-up. The study aims to determine whether allograft bone screws reduce tunnel widening and improve graft integration compared with PEEK and biocomposite screws while maintaining comparable clinical outcomes.",[27],"ACL - Anterior Cruciate Ligament Rupture",[29,30],"ACL Rupture","ACL Reconstruction","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-09-30",{"date":34,"type":35},"2026-10-05","ACTUAL",{"date":37,"type":21},"2026-11-01",{"date":39,"type":21},"2028-12-31",{"name":41,"class":42},"Austrian Workers Compensation Board Styria","OTHER",1,{"id":45,"slug":46,"hasResults":11,"nctId":47,"briefTitle":48,"officialTitle":49,"acronym":50,"eligibilityCriteria":51,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":52,"maxAge":53,"enrollmentInfo":54,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":56,"briefSummary":57,"conditions":58,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":60,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":61,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":62,"startDateStruct":64,"completionDateStruct":66,"leadSponsor":68,"locationsCount":5},"100537632","robotic-assisted-vs-custom-made-total-knee-arthroplasty-100537632","NCT06280352","Robotic Assisted vs Custom Made Total Knee Arthroplasty","Prospective Randomized Controlled Trial of Functionally Aligned Robotically Assisted Total Knee Arthroplasty vs Patient Specific Custom Made Total Knee Arthroplasty","Knieathlon","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* \\- The patient is a male or non-pregnant female between the ages of 40 and 90 years\n* The patient requires a primary total knee replacement\n* Patient is deemed appropriate for a cruciate retaining knee replacement\n* The patient has a primary diagnosis of osteoarthritis (OA)\n* The patient has intact collateral ligaments\n* The patient is able to undergo CT scanning of the affected limb\n* The patient has signed the study specific, ethics-approved, informed consent document\n* The patient is willing and able to comply with the specified pre-operative and post-operative clinical and radiographic evaluations\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* \\- The patient has a history of total, unicompartmental reconstruction or fusion of the affected joint\n* Patient has had a previous osteotomy around the knee\n* The patient is morbidly obese (BMI \\> 41)\n* The patient has a deformity which will require the use of stems, wedges or augments\n* The patient has a varus deformity ≥ 15°\n* The patient has a valgus deformity \\>3°\n* The patient has a neuromuscular or neurosensory deficiency, which would limit the ability to assess the performance of the device\n* The patient is unable to speak German\n* The patient is pregnant","40 Years","90 Years",{"count":55,"type":21},120,[24],"The goal of this clinical trial is to compare Robotic Assisted, functionally aligned vs Custom Made Total Knee Arthroplasty in patients with knee osteoarthritis.
