Examples include: patients with peripheral vascular disease, gangrene, Buerger's disease.\n* Peripheral intravenous cannulation site located in area of insensitive skin; such as, patients with a peripheral neuropathy including diabetic neuropathy.\n* Patient intolerant of cold or with hypersensitivity to the cold. Examples include: Raynaud's disease and sickle-cell anemia.\n* Patient unable or unwilling to give consent.\n* Patients exhibiting signs of skin irritation at the procedure site (e.g.: urticaria).",true,"ALL","18 Years","75 Years",{"count":21,"type":22},100,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[25],"NA","The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if Pain Ease (new formula) is more effective than Nature's Tears in reducing pain associated with Peripheral Intravenous Cannulation (PIV), also known as an IV. This clinical trial will also learn if Pain Ease (new formula) increases the germs at the application site. The main questions it aims to answer are:\n\n1. Will Pain Ease (new formula) reduce the amount of pain when receiving an IV?\n2. Will the microbes increase when Pain Ease (new formula) is applied on cleansed skin?\n\nParticipants will:\n\n1. Either have Pain Ease (new formula) or Nature's Tears sprayed on the skin prior to receiving an IV\n2. Complete questionnaires on how the experience was\n3. Complete the study within 60 minutes after the application of either spray, if no reactions occur",[28,29],"Peripheral Intravenous Cannulation","Pain Management",[31,32,28,29,33,34,35,36,37,38,39],"IV","Intravenous Cannulation","Topical Anesthetic Spray","Vapocoolant","MLY","Cold spray","Patient satisfaction","PIV","Pain Spray","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-09-10",{"date":43,"type":44},"2026-09-15","ACTUAL",{"date":46,"type":22},"2026-12",{"date":48,"type":22},"2027-01",{"name":50,"class":51},"Gebauer Company","NETWORK",""]
