The main questions this clinical trial aims to answer are:\n\n1. Does empagliflozin improve endothelial function?\n2. Does empagliflozin improve sympathetic nervous system function?\n\nThis clinical trial employs a double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover study lasting up to 6 weeks for participants with prehypertension and up to 2 weeks for normotensive participants. Participants with prehypertension will take empagliflozin or placebo for 2 weeks, separated by a 2-week washout. Normotensive participants will complete baseline, pre-treatment visits only and will serve as a control group.",[29,30],"Blood Pressure","Endothelial Dysfunction",[32,33,34],"Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibition","Prehypertension","Vascular Function","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-08-31",{"date":38,"type":39},"2026-09-02","ACTUAL",{"date":41,"type":23},"2026-09",{"date":43,"type":23},"2029-01",{"name":45,"class":46},"Kanokwan Bunsawat","OTHER",""]
