The study will be conducted at the General Surgery outpatient clinic of a private hospital in Bursa, Türkiye, between May 2026 and March 2027, and will enroll adult patients (aged 18-65 years) who meet current ASMBS\u002FIFSO eligibility criteria for metabolic and bariatric surgery.\n\nParticipants will be naturally allocated into two observational groups based on their own choice to use or not use collagen-containing supplements; no supplement will be provided or recommended by the study team, and no intervention will be made to participants' standard clinical care. All patients will be followed according to routine clinical practice preoperatively and at 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months postoperatively.\n\nPrimary outcome measures include anthropometric parameters (body weight, BMI, fat mass, fat mass percentage, fat-free mass, muscle mass, percentage of weight loss, percentage of excess weight loss, waist and hip circumference) assessed via bioelectrical impedance analysis (Tanita MC-780 MA), and body image assessed using the Turkish-validated Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ). Secondary outcomes include biochemical parameters, comorbidities, and macronutrient intake data obtained from 3-day dietary records analyzed using the BEBİS nutrition software.\n\nThe study hypothesizes that patients using collagen-containing supplements will show significant differences in muscle mass and body composition parameters compared with non-users, and that supplement use will be significantly associated with BSQ scores. A sample size of approximately 52 participants per group was calculated using G\\*Power 3.1 (one-way ANOVA, Cohen's f = 0.25, α = 0.05, power = 0.80).",[26,27,28,29,30,31,32],"Obesity & Overweight","Collagen Protein","Bariatric Surgery","Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery","Body Composition","Muscle Composition","Body Image",[28,34,35,30],"Collagen Supplementation","Muscle Mass","RECRUITING","2026-09-03",{"date":39,"type":40},"2026-09-09","ACTUAL",{"date":42,"type":40},"2026-07-01",{"date":44,"type":22},"2027-02-10",{"name":46,"class":47},"Mudanya University","OTHER",1,{"id":50,"slug":51,"hasResults":11,"nctId":52,"briefTitle":53,"officialTitle":54,"acronym":55,"eligibilityCriteria":56,"healthyVolunteers":16,"sex":57,"minAge":18,"maxAge":58,"enrollmentInfo":59,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":61,"phases":62,"briefSummary":64,"conditions":65,"keywords":67,"overallStatus":73,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":74,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":75,"startDateStruct":77,"completionDateStruct":79,"leadSponsor":81,"locationsCount":48},"100624272","effect-of-foot-core-exercises-on-jump-performance-in-professional-volleyball-players-100624272","NCT07407478","Effect of Foot Core Exercises on Jump Performance in Professional Volleyball Players","Effect of Foot Core Exercises on Jump Performance in Professional Volleyball Players: An Objective Evaluation Using ForceDecks","FCJUMP","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Male professional volleyball players aged 18 to 35 years\n* Actively licensed athletes competing in clubs affiliated with the Turkish Volleyball Federation\n* Regular participation in team training sessions without interruption for at least the past 3 months\n* No history of surgery or serious injury involving the lower extremities (foot, ankle, knee, or hip) within the last 6 months\n* Agreement not to participate in any additional strength, balance, or proprioception-based exercise programs during the study period\n* No medical or physiological condition that would prevent participation in the Countermovement Jump (CMJ) test performed using the ForceDecks system\n* Voluntary participation with written informed consent obtained prior to enrollment\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Presence of deformity, chronic pain, or functional impairment in the foot or ankle\n* History of lower extremity orthopedic surgery within the past 6 months\n* History of neurological or vestibular disorders, or systemic diseases affecting balance\n* Participation in physiotherapy interventions, rehabilitation protocols, or exercise programs outside the scope of the study during the study period","MALE","35 Years",{"count":60,"type":22},43,"INTERVENTIONAL",[63],"NA","Brief Summary\n\nThe purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of foot core exercises on jump performance in professional volleyball players. Participants will be randomly assigned to two groups. The first group will perform a strength training program only, while the second group will perform foot core exercises in addition to the same strength training program. Jump performance will be assessed using the Countermovement Jump (CMJ) test, and performance scores will be obtained through force-time analysis using the ForceDecks system. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the development of training programs aimed at improving performance and reducing injury risk in professional volleyball players.",[66],"Athletic Performance",[68,69,70,71,72,66],"Foot Core Exercise","Jump Performance","Volleyball Players","Countermovement Jump","Force Plates","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-02-05",{"date":76,"type":40},"2026-02-12",{"date":78,"type":22},"2026-03",{"date":80,"type":22},"2027-06",{"name":46,"class":47},""]
