Although most individuals progress through return-to-activity (RTA) using symptom-guided aerobic and functional activity, current protocols do not directly target neuromuscular deficits linked to persistent movement alterations after concussion. These deficits include altered gait, reduced movement efficiency, and biomechanical changes that persist beyond symptom resolution and increase subsequent risk of musculoskeletal injury. This creates a critical clinical gap: patients are cleared using symptom-tolerance protocols, while concussion-related neuromuscular impairments remain untreated during the period when recovery behaviors are established. The proposed project addresses this gap by testing a low-cost, equipment-free neuromuscular rehabilitation strategy added to standard RTA during acute concussion recovery. The intervention applies the six principles of clinical Pilates, concentration, control, centering, precision, flow, and breathing, through ten therapeutic movements designed to improve posture, flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, body awareness, and movement confidence.",[26,27],"Concussion (Diagnosis)","Gait Abnormality",[29,30,31],"brain concussion","gait","symptom burden","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-09-02",{"date":35,"type":36},"2026-09-03","ACTUAL",{"date":38,"type":20},"2027-08-02",{"date":40,"type":20},"2030-07-31",{"name":42,"class":43},"Northern Illinois University","OTHER",1,{"id":46,"slug":47,"hasResults":11,"nctId":48,"briefTitle":49,"officialTitle":50,"acronym":51,"eligibilityCriteria":52,"healthyVolunteers":53,"sex":54,"minAge":55,"maxAge":56,"enrollmentInfo":57,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":21,"phases":59,"briefSummary":61,"conditions":62,"keywords":64,"overallStatus":32,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":71,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":72,"startDateStruct":74,"completionDateStruct":76,"leadSponsor":78,"locationsCount":44},"100623487","acute-effects-of-alpha-glycerylphosphorylcholine-a-gpc-on-lower-body-muscular-performance-100623487","NCT07397273","Acute Effects of Alpha-glycerylphosphorylcholine (A-GPC) on Lower Body Muscular Performance.","Effects of Alpha-GPC on Lower Body Muscular Performance and Activation.","A-GPC","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Recreationally-trained males, college-aged\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* If the subjects report: 1) cardiovascular disease, metabolic, renal, hepatic, or musculoskeletal disorders; 2) use of any medications; 3) use of nutritional supplements; 4) habitual use of caffeine (≥1 caffeinated beverage per day); 5) participation in another clinical trial or investigation of another nutritional product within 30 days of screening\u002Fenrollment.",true,"MALE","19 Years","29 Years",{"count":58,"type":20},20,[60],"NA","The purpose of the present study was to examine the effectiveness of acute A-GPC supplementation on upper and lower body muscular strength, endurance, power, and global levels of activation.",[63],"Healthy Adult Participants",[65,66,67,68,69,70],"supplementation","isometric","electromyography","Wingate Anaerobic Test","muscular power","ergogenic aid","2026-02-02",{"date":73,"type":36},"2026-02-09",{"date":75,"type":20},"2026-03-16",{"date":77,"type":20},"2026-05-16",{"name":42,"class":43},""]
