Patients with hip fracture are often elderly, acutely admitted, in pain, and have multiple comorbidities, all of which increase the risk of delirium.\n\nThis study evaluates whether implementation of intraoperative dexmedetomidine prophylaxis reduces postoperative delirium in patients undergoing hip fracture surgery.
