Despite the availability of various monitoring techniques, the validation of newer devices remains an ongoing challenge. This study compares the performance of the electromyography (EMG)-based New Generation Tetragraph neuromuscular monitor with the gold standard mechanomyography (MMG) device, focusing on their accuracy and reliability in clinical settings.\n\nMethods: Twenty cases were conducted during general surgeries requiring neuromuscular relaxation. Ulnar nerve was stimulated via the Tetragraph which detected the compound muscle action potential (CMAP) of adductor pollicis muscle. Simultaneously on the same arm the isometric force of the same stimulated muscle was registrated by the MMG and displayed in the Labchart 8 program. Bland-Altman analysis was used to describe the agreement between devices during distinct phases of neuromuscular blockade. The primary endpoint of the study was the comparison of TOF values of MMG and EMG during induction. In recovery, two groups were made from TOFRs: below and above the recommended muscle recovery to exclude PRNB (TOFR≥90%) (Fuchs-Buder 2023). Additionally, in deeper neuromuscular blockade Train-of-Four Count (TOFC), and Post-Tetanic Count (PTC) values were also analysed.",[25],"Patients Undergoing General Anesthesia",[27,28,29],"neuromuscular monitoring","MMG","EMG","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-08-02",{"date":33,"type":34},"2026-08-06","ACTUAL",{"date":36,"type":21},"2026-08-10",{"date":38,"type":21},"2027-12-31",{"name":40,"class":41},"University of Debrecen","OTHER",1,{"id":44,"slug":45,"hasResults":11,"nctId":46,"briefTitle":47,"officialTitle":48,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":49,"healthyVolunteers":50,"sex":17,"minAge":18,"maxAge":51,"enrollmentInfo":52,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":4,"briefSummary":54,"conditions":55,"keywords":57,"overallStatus":62,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":63,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":64,"startDateStruct":66,"completionDateStruct":68,"leadSponsor":69,"locationsCount":5},"100574108","diagnostic-feasibility-of-100-hz-tetanic-stimulation-100574108","NCT06754995","Diagnostic Feasibility of 100 Hz Tetanic Stimulation","Diagnostic Feasibility of 100 Hz Tetanic Stimulation in the Perioperative Setting in Patients With Normal and Abnormal ENG: a Pilot Study","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* ASA 1-3;\n* BMI 18.5-25 (normal body weight);\n* patient is in supine position with one arm accessible.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* diseases with impaired neuromuscular function (myopathies, severe liver and kidney failure);\n* drugs affecting neuromuscular function (magnesium, aminoglycosides);\n* pregnancy (pregnancy tests are carried out in women of childbearing age to rule out pregnancy);\n* breast-feeding;\n* acute surgery",true,"65 Years",{"count":53,"type":21},40,"The goal of this observational study is to investigate the applicability of 100 Hz tetanic stimulation with an electromyography device in the exclusion of postoperative residual neuromuscular block.
