Procedural anxiety and pain may also influence physiological responses, including changes in blood pressure and heart rate. Therefore, non-pharmacological nursing interventions that are simple, low-cost, and easy to implement may be useful in managing procedural distress.\n\nThis study aims to investigate the effect of stress ball use during breast biopsy on patients' pain, anxiety, and vital signs. Participants will be assigned to an intervention group using a stress ball during the biopsy procedure or a control group receiving standard care. Pain and anxiety levels, as well as vital signs, will be assessed and compared between the two groups.",[25,26,27,28],"Breast Biopsy","Procedural Pain","Anxiety","Vital Signs",[30,31,32],"stress ball","distraction","nursing intervention","RECRUITING","2026-09-21",{"date":36,"type":37},"2026-09-28","ACTUAL",{"date":39,"type":37},"2026-09-11",{"date":41,"type":19},"2026-10-31",{"name":43,"class":44},"TC Erciyes University","OTHER",1,{"id":47,"slug":48,"hasResults":11,"nctId":49,"briefTitle":50,"officialTitle":50,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":51,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":15,"minAge":16,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":52,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":20,"phases":54,"briefSummary":55,"conditions":56,"keywords":58,"overallStatus":33,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":63,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":64,"startDateStruct":66,"completionDateStruct":68,"leadSponsor":70,"locationsCount":45},"100616776","virtual-reality-vs-music-relaxation-for-reducing-anxiety-and-pain-during-breast-biopsies-100616776","NCT07310004","Virtual Reality vs. Music Relaxation for Reducing Anxiety and Pain During Breast Biopsies","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Females aged 18 years or older.\n* Scheduled for an ultrasound-guided or stereotactic breast biopsy.\n* Capable of understanding and providing informed consent.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Individuals with a history of epilepsy, motion sickness, or severe cognitive impairment (for the VR group).\n* Use of anxiolytic medication immediately prior to the biopsy.",{"count":53,"type":19},600,[22],"This study aims to compare the effectiveness of a Virtual Reality (VR) application computer simulation \\[(CS) VR Mindful Meditation App')\\] versus music relaxation in reducing anxiety and pain in women undergoing breast biopsies.
