The main questions it aims to answer are:\n\n1. Does HIIE improve respiratory function in patients with bronchiectasis?\n2. Does HIIE increase functional capacity, peripheral muscle strength, and quality of life in patients with bronchiectasis?\n3. Does HIIE reduce the severity of dyspnea, cough symptoms, and fatigue in patients with bronchiectasis?\n\nThe study was designed as a randomized controlled trial. Participants were divided into two groups: intervention and control.\n\nParticipants will:\n\nThe intervention group will receive HIIE training three days a week along with airway clearance techniques.\n\nThe control group would receive only airway clearance techniques. Airway clearance techniques will be provided clinically (three days a week) and at home, according to the needs of the individuals each day of the week.",[27,28],"Bronchiectasis, Non-Cystic Fibrosis","High Intensity Interval Exercise",[30,31],"Airway clearance techniques","high-intensity interval exercise","RECRUITING","2026-09-03",{"date":35,"type":36},"2026-09-04","ACTUAL",{"date":38,"type":36},"2026-03-27",{"date":40,"type":21},"2027-05-29",{"name":42,"class":43},"Saglik Bilimleri Universitesi","OTHER",1,{"id":46,"slug":47,"hasResults":11,"nctId":48,"briefTitle":49,"officialTitle":50,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":51,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":18,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":52,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":54,"briefSummary":56,"conditions":57,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":58,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":59,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":60,"startDateStruct":62,"completionDateStruct":64,"leadSponsor":66,"locationsCount":44},"100614009","phase-3-long-term-safety-and-efficacy-of-moxifloxacin-in-bronchiectasis-patients-100614009","NCT07274020","Long-Term Safety and Efficacy of Moxifloxacin in Bronchiectasis Patients","Effectiveness and Safety of Long-Term Intermittent Moxifloxacin Eradication Therapy in Non-Cystic Fibrosis Bronchiectasis: A 12-Month Randomized Controlled Trial","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Adults ≥18 years of age.\n* Confirmed diagnosis of non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis by high-resolution CT (HRCT).\n* History of ≥2 bronchiectasis exacerbations in the previous 12 months.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Diagnosis of cystic fibrosis-related bronchiectasis.\n* Known hypersensitivity or contraindication to fluoroquinolones (including moxifloxacin).\n* Severe hepatic impairment or severe renal impairment (eGFR \\\u003C30 mL\u002Fmin\u002F1.73 m²).\n* Pregnancy or breastfeeding.\n* History of significant QT prolongation, arrhythmia, or concurrent use of QT-prolonging drugs.\n* Use of long-term suppressive antibiotics for bronchiectasis in the past 3 months.",{"count":53,"type":21},140,[55],"PHASE3","Bronchiectasis is a chronic respiratory disease characterized by recurrent infections, inflammation, and progressive lung damage. Frequent exacerbations are associated with increased morbidity, accelerated lung function decline, and reduced quality of life. Preventing exacerbations is a key therapeutic goal. Moxifloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic with broad-spectrum activity, may play a role in intermittent eradication therapy to reduce bacterial load, achieve microbiological clearance, and minimize exacerbation frequency.\n\nThis randomized controlled trial will evaluate the effectiveness and safety of long-term intermittent moxifloxacin therapy compared with standard care in patients with non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis.",[27],"NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2025-12-09",{"date":61,"type":36},"2025-12-10",{"date":63,"type":21},"2025-12-01",{"date":65,"type":21},"2027-01-01",{"name":67,"class":43},"Assiut University"]
