This study investigates whether placing a catheter to deliver a local anesthetic to the superficial parasternal intercostal plane reduces pain following this type of heart surgery. Patients undergoing CABG via sternotomy will be randomly assigned to either the catheter-based analgesia group or the standard pain management group. The researchers will compare postoperative pain levels and analgesic medication requirements between the two groups to determine whether this technique improves postoperative pain control.",[27,28,29],"Bypass Surgery","Arrythmia","Postoperative Pain",[31,32,33,34,35],"parasternal block","postoperative analgesia","cardiovascular surgery","arrhythmia","regional anesthesia","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-08-06",{"date":39,"type":40},"2026-08-12","ACTUAL",{"date":42,"type":21},"2026-08-30",{"date":44,"type":21},"2026-11-15",{"name":46,"class":47},"Koc University Hospital","OTHER",1,{"id":50,"slug":51,"hasResults":11,"nctId":52,"briefTitle":53,"officialTitle":54,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":55,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":18,"maxAge":56,"enrollmentInfo":57,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":59,"phases":4,"briefSummary":60,"conditions":61,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":66,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":67,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":68,"startDateStruct":70,"completionDateStruct":72,"leadSponsor":74,"locationsCount":48},"100647621","application-of-extended-reality-xr-assisted-computed-tomography-ct-guided-localization-in-extracranial-intracranial-ec-ic-bypass-surgery-100647621","NCT07711457","Application of Extended Reality (XR)-Assisted Computed Tomography (CT)-Guided Localization in Extracranial-intracranial (EC-IC) Bypass Surgery","Application of Extended Reality (XR)-Assisted CT-Guided Localization in Extracranial-intracranial (EC-IC) Bypass Surgery","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Adult patients diagnosed with ischemic moyamoya disease, moyamoya syndrome, or chronic intracranial internal carotid artery stenosis or occlusion (chronic ICA stenosis\u002Focclusion).\n* Patients scheduled to undergo extracranial-intracranial bypass surgery (EC-IC bypass), including superficial temporal artery-middle cerebral artery bypass (STA-MCA bypass), superficial temporal artery trunk-interposition graft-middle cerebral artery bypass (STA trunk-graft-MCA bypass), or other cerebral revascularization procedures using the superficial temporal artery or another branch of the external carotid artery system (STA\u002FECA system) as the donor blood supply.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Presence of a contraindication to computed tomography (CT) scanning.\n* Presence of a severe systemic illness that would prevent participation in subsequent study assessments, such as poorly controlled diabetes mellitus, active malignancy, or severe cardiac disease.\n* The need for emergency surgery without sufficient time to complete image-based modeling and registration.\n* Presence of scalp lesions, wounds, or anatomical deformities that prevent reliable surface registration.\n* The XR registration result is considered unreliable by the research team and may potentially compromise surgical safety.","85 Years",{"count":58,"type":21},30,"OBSERVATIONAL","This study will evaluate the application of a metaverse-based surgical simulation platform in extracranial-intracranial (EC-IC) bypass surgery.
