This will be done by collecting demographic information, relevant medical history, dialysis history, potential renal acid load from diet by recording different foods consumed over 2 days in a food diary and bicarbonate levels at 3 intervals, pre and post dialysis session 1 and pre dialysis session 2.\n\nBicarbonate levels are of significant interest as an indicator of metabolic acidosis in CKD dialysis patients. This study will allow us to understand the efficacy of different dialysis modalities in controlling bicarbonate levels. It will also enable us to understand the idea of individualizing dialysis for patients in terms of not using a standard concentration of dialysate for all patient undergoing dialysis in this center.",[24,25],"Metabolic Acidosis","CKD on Hemodialysis Patients","RECRUITING","2026-08-20",{"date":29,"type":30},"2026-08-21","ACTUAL",{"date":32,"type":30},"2026-05-12",{"date":34,"type":20},"2026-08",{"name":36,"class":37},"East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust","OTHER_GOV",1,{"id":40,"slug":41,"hasResults":11,"nctId":42,"briefTitle":43,"officialTitle":43,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":44,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":45,"enrollmentInfo":46,"targetDuration":48,"studyType":21,"phases":4,"briefSummary":49,"conditions":50,"keywords":51,"overallStatus":55,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":56,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":57,"startDateStruct":59,"completionDateStruct":61,"leadSponsor":63,"locationsCount":4},"100631716","prevalence-of-anxiety-and-depression-among-hemodialysis-patients-at-sohag-university-hospital-100631716","NCT07504302","Prevalence of Anxiety and Depression Among Hemodialysis Patients at Sohag University Hospital","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients diagnosed with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and maintained on regular hemodialysis for at least 3 months.\n* Patients aged more than 18 years old.\n* Patients receiving hemodialysis three sessions per week, each lasting 3-4 hours.\n* Patients who can communicate effectively and are able to complete the required questionnaires.\n* Patients able to provide informed consent.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients suffering from major visual or hearing impairments.\n* Patients with a known psychiatric disorder diagnosed prior to initiation of hemodialysis.\n* Patients receiving psychiatric medications or active psychotherapy.\n* Patients with severe cerebrovascular diseases.\n* Patients with chronic liver diseases, lung diseases or malignancies that can add additional psychological burden.","90 Years",{"count":47,"type":20},160,"1 Day","The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of anxiety and depression among hemodialysis patients attending Sohag University Hospital and to identify the sociodemographic and clinical factors associated with these psychological disorders.\n\nThe study is a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted on patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis at the Hemodialysis Unit, Sohag University Hospital.",[25],[52,53,54],"Anxiety","Depression","hemodialysis patients","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-03-25",{"date":58,"type":30},"2026-03-31",{"date":60,"type":20},"2026-05",{"date":62,"type":20},"2026-09",{"name":64,"class":65},"Sohag University","OTHER"]
