In approximately 30 patients undergoing elective colon or rectal resection with primary anastomosis, both imaging modalities will be performed intraoperatively. The surgeons will base their clinical decisions solely on standard ICG fluorescence imaging, while LSCI measurements are collected for research purposes and do not influence treatment. Postoperatively, quantitative ICG parameters will be analysed and compared with LSCI perfusion maps to determine whether objective ICG analysis improves agreement with LSCI over subjective interpretation alone. In addition, the study will evaluate the feasibility of using the PerfusiX-IGS LSCI system during open colorectal surgery and describe postoperative outcomes, including anastomotic leakage. The ultimate goal is to contribute to more objective and standardized perfusion assessment during colorectal surgery",[24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32],"Leakage, Anastomotic","Colon Cancer","Colon Anastomosis","Colon and Rectal Cancer","Colon Benign Tumor","Colon and Rectal Diseases","Laser Speckle Contrast Imaging","Indocyanine Green (ICG)","Near-Infrared Spectroscopy",[34,35,36,37,38,39],"colon","anastomosis","laser speckle contrast imaging","indocyanine green","ICG","Near-infrared","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-07-17",{"date":43,"type":44},"2026-07-22","ACTUAL",{"date":46,"type":20},"2026-08-01",{"date":48,"type":20},"2027-09-30",{"name":50,"class":51},"Leiden University Medical Center","OTHER",{"id":53,"slug":54,"hasResults":11,"nctId":55,"briefTitle":56,"officialTitle":57,"acronym":58,"eligibilityCriteria":59,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":60,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":62,"phases":63,"briefSummary":65,"conditions":66,"keywords":75,"overallStatus":40,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":78,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":79,"startDateStruct":81,"completionDateStruct":83,"leadSponsor":85,"locationsCount":87},"100601686","post-operative-hospital-at-home-after-colorectal-surgery-100601686","NCT07113717","Post Operative Hospital at Home After Colorectal Surgery","Early Post-operative Discharge of Colorectal Surgical Patients to a Virtual Hospital at Home Model (Post Operative Hospital at Home) - a Clinical Feasibility Study","POPHaH","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Planned minimally invasive (laparoscopic or robot-assisted) CRS\n* No epidural analgesia\n* No new stoma\n* Bleeding \\\u003C 500 ml\n* Actual condition assessed to be clinically stable\n* Meeting the Chung score discharge criteria for ambulatory surgery\n* Self-reliant or receives sufficient formal care to be care-independent of a primary informal caregiver\n* Home-based admission will be located within catchment area of the hospital (according to the official address of the individual)\n* Signed informed written and oral consent\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients who cannot comply with self-assessment\n* Improficiency in Danish\n* Pregnancy\n* Conversion to emergency surgery (uncontrolled perforation of bowel, ileus)\n* Complications during surgery warranting in-hospital admission (observation in intensive care unit or close observation from other specialities, e.g. cardiology)",{"count":61,"type":20},20,"INTERVENTIONAL",[64],"NA","The goal of this feasibility study is to investigate whether a virtual Hospital at Home is safe and possible for patients undergoing planned minimally invasive colorectal surgery.
