External irrigation is commonly used to reduce heat generation; however, cooling may be less effective at the drill-bone interface, particularly during guided implant surgery.

Surgical guides with integrated irrigation channels have been developed to deliver coolant more directly to the osteotomy site, but clinical evidence regarding their effectiveness remains limited. This study will evaluate whether an internal irrigation surgical guide system reduces heat generation during osteotomy compared with a conventional guided implant surgery approach. The study will also assess clinical outcomes associated with implant placement. The findings may help inform safer and more effective protocols for guided dental implant surgery.",[28,29,30,31],"Dental Implant Healing","Partial Edentulism Class 1","Partial Edentulism Class II","Partial Edentulism Class 3",[33,34],"dental implant surgery","dental implant placement","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-08-03
2026-08-06","ACTUAL
2026-09-01
2028-12-31
University of Maryland, Baltimore","OTHER",1
"100622498","phase-4-application-of-topical-oxygen-therapy-around-customized-healing-collar-100622498","NCT07384403","Application of Topical Oxygen Therapy Around Customized Healing Collar","Evaluation of Linear and Volumetric Soft Tissue Changes Following the Application of Topical Oxygen Therapy Around Customized Healing Collars: Case Series","Inclusion Criteria:

* Adults aged 21 years and above.

 * Indicated for customized healing collar placement after second-stage surgery.
 * Good general health.
 * Able and willing to provide written informed consent.
 * Committed to follow-up visits.

Exclusion Criteria:

* Individuals below 21 years old.
* Systemic diseases affecting healing.
* Smokers/tobacco users.
* Pregnant/lactating women.
* Medications affecting soft tissue healing.
* Chemotherapy/radiotherapy patients.","21 Years
6,[59],"PHASE4","The preservation and enhancement of peri-implant soft tissues are essential for the long-term success and esthetic integration of dental implants. Customized healing abutments have been introduced to support individualized soft tissue shaping; however, optimizing soft tissue healing around implants remains a clinical challenge. Oxygen plays a critical role in wound healing by promoting angiogenesis, fibroblast proliferation, and collagen synthesis. Topical oxygen therapy has shown promise in accelerating tissue regeneration, yet its application in oral implantology, particularly in conjunction with customized healing abutments, has not been adequately studied. This study aims to provide clinical evidence regarding the effectiveness of topical oxygen therapy in improving linear and volumetric soft tissue changes around dental implants. The findings may guide clinicians in refining soft tissue management protocols and contribute to establishing evidence-based practices in implant dentistry.",[62,63,64,28],"Soft Tissue","Healing Abutment Influence on Gingival Volume","Soft Tissue Healing",[66,67,68],"Oxygen gel","volumetic change of soft tissue","implant","RECRUITING","2026-01-25
2026-02-03
2026-01-01
2026-09
Cairo University"]
