It will also evaluate whether the two maintenance strategies differ in their ability to maintain the antidepressant treatment response over 24 weeks. The main questions it aims to answer are:\n\nDoes clustered maintenance rTMS reduce the risk of depressive relapse or clinically relevant symptom worsening compared with tapered maintenance rTMS? Do the two maintenance strategies differ in depressive symptoms, global clinical status, psychosocial functioning, and MRI-based biomarkers over time?\n\nResearchers will compare a clustered maintenance rTMS protocol with a tapered maintenance rTMS protocol.\n\nParticipants will:\n\n* Complete successful acute TBS treatment before study enrollment\n* Be randomly assigned to either clustered or tapered maintenance rTMS\n* Receive 20 maintenance stimulation sessions over 20 weeks\n* Attend clinical follow-up assessments every 4 weeks for a total follow-up -period of 24 weeks\n* Undergo optional multimodal MRI examinations at the Munich study site",[27,28,29],"Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)","Depressive Episodes","Depressive Syndrome",[31,32,33,34,35,36],"MaintenanceTMS","NIBS","TaperingTMS","ClusterTMS","MDD","DepressiveSyndrome","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-07-21",{"date":40,"type":41},"2026-07-27","ACTUAL",{"date":43,"type":21},"2026-08-01",{"date":45,"type":21},"2028-09-30",{"name":47,"class":48},"Technical University of Munich","OTHER",1,{"id":51,"slug":52,"hasResults":11,"nctId":53,"briefTitle":54,"officialTitle":54,"acronym":55,"eligibilityCriteria":56,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":57,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":58,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":60,"phases":4,"briefSummary":61,"conditions":62,"keywords":65,"overallStatus":73,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":74,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":75,"startDateStruct":77,"completionDateStruct":79,"leadSponsor":81,"locationsCount":49},"100524129","comprehensive-geriatric-assessment-in-kidney-transplantation-100524129","NCT06104696","Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment in Kidney Transplantation","CoGeriaTx","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* kidney transplant candidates aged 60+ years\n* kidney transplant recipients aged 60+ years\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* kidney transplant candidates aged below 60 years\n* kidney transplant recipients aged below 60 years","60 Years",{"count":59,"type":21},1000,"OBSERVATIONAL","This observational study aims to analyze the results of comprehensive geriatric assessment and to monitor the development of functional status in geriatric kidney transplant candidates and recipients.",[63,64,29],"Kidney Transplant; Complications","Frailty Syndrome",[66,67,68,69,70,71,72],"kidney transplantation","geriatric","frailty","depression","pretransplant evaluation","comprehensive geriatric assessment","posttransplant","RECRUITING","2023-10-23",{"date":76,"type":41},"2023-10-27",{"date":78,"type":41},"2020-01-02",{"date":80,"type":21},"2040-01-02",{"name":82,"class":83},"Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine","OTHER_GOV"]
