It is characterized by the presence of endometrial-like tissue outside the uterine cavity. Current treatment options include hormonal therapies or surgical excision of the endometriotic lesions. Although these interventions often lead to a significant symptom relief, some patients still experience persistent pain or treatment-related adverse effects. Consequently, the management of dysmenorrhea and improvement of quality of life in patients with endometriosis remain a clinical challenge.\n\nDesloratadine is widely used for the treatment of allergic rhinitis or chronic urticaria. Recent studies suggest that desloratadine may also possess analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. So far, however, no clinical studies have investigated its potential therapeutic effects in patients with endometriosis.\n\nTherefore, the present study aims to provide the first clinical assessment of the efficacy, safety and tolerability of desloratadine in patients with endometriosis.",[26,27,28,29],"Endometriosis","Endometriosis (Diagnosis)","Endometriosis and Dysmenorrhea","Endometriosis Associated Pelvic Pain","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-09-15",{"date":33,"type":34},"2026-09-18","ACTUAL",{"date":36,"type":20},"2027-02",{"date":38,"type":20},"2028-05",{"name":40,"class":41},"Medical University of Vienna","OTHER",1,{"id":44,"slug":45,"hasResults":11,"nctId":46,"briefTitle":47,"officialTitle":48,"acronym":49,"eligibilityCriteria":50,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":15,"minAge":16,"maxAge":51,"enrollmentInfo":52,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":21,"phases":54,"briefSummary":56,"conditions":57,"keywords":58,"overallStatus":30,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":64,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":65,"startDateStruct":67,"completionDateStruct":69,"leadSponsor":71,"locationsCount":4},"100654475","phase-4-brain-and-blood-vessel-health-following-endometriosis-treatment-in-people-with-endometriosis-100654475","NCT07799246","Brain and Blood Vessel Health Following Endometriosis Treatment in People With Endometriosis","BLOOM Study: Investigation of Endometriosis Treatments on Brain and Cerebrovascular Health","BLOOM","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Female sex assigned at birth;\n* Age 18-40 years;\n* Premenopausal status characterized by regular (i.e., 21-35 day cycles) menstrual cycles or a follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) \\\u003C 10 IU\u002FL in patients with irregular menstrual cycles.\n* Body mass index \\\u003C 39 kg\u002Fm2.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Preexisting or active cardiac, renal, or hepatic disease or use of medications for these disorders: past or current history of these diseases or conditions may impact participant safety associated with the intervention or may confound the study of the effect of the interventions because these diseases also impair vascular function.\n* Current use or use of hormonal contraceptives within past 3 months.\n* Use of vascular-altering medications that interfere with measurements (e.g., anti-hypertensive medications, GLP-1s, acetazolamide, etc.,).\n* Diabetic or fasted glucose ≥126 mg\u002FdL: diabetes impairs vascular function and could influence interpretation of the data.\n* Current or recent (\\\u003C6 months) tobacco or nicotine use.\n* Pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding within the past 3 months.\n* Known contraindications to MRI such as metal shavings or fragments in the head, eyes or neck.\n* Rested seated blood pressure \\>140\u002F90 mmHg; hypertension impairs cerebrovascular function and could influence the interpretation of data.\n* Use of vitamins, supplements or minerals or anti-inflammatory medications or unwillingness to stop for 7 days prior to MRI testing.\n* Abnormal thyroid, liver, or kidney function testing during the screening examination or bloodwork.
