Care staff will have responsibility for the personal care of residents (aged 65+ years) within the care home setting. This includes agency staff with at least 6-months experience working in care homes.\n* Staff working in the residential care home sector (e.g. care home managers) and in regular contact with care home residents (e.g. nursing staff) will also be eligible to participate.\n* Care homes will be providing 24\u002F7 in-person support, and this is inclusive of residential care home, nursing care homes, specialist dementia care or nursing home, dual-registered care homes and extra care housing (assisted living or very sheltered housing).\n* All geographical regions in England inclusive of multi-ethnic, urban, and rural populations.\n* Aged over 18 years of age.\n\nTask 2 Qualitative interviews\n\n* Care home staff (including carers, care home managers and nursing staff) currently working in the care home environment and with at least 6-months' experience of working in this environment, with experience of providing personal care. The study will assess the program's impact on diabetic foot knowledge, foot care self-efficacy, foot care behaviors, and foot health outcomes.\n\nThe research will be conducted between April and October 2026 at a university hospital diabetes outpatient clinic in İzmir, Türkiye. A total of 70 participants diagnosed with Type II DM will be enrolled and randomly assigned to either the intervention group (n=35) or the control group (n=35) using stratified block randomization.\n\nParticipants in the intervention group will receive the Virtual Reality-Based \"Health to My Foot\" program through virtual reality goggles and will have access to a recorded foot care training video for home use. They will also receive weekly motivational reminder messages for three months. The control group will receive standard outpatient care only.\n\nData will be collected at baseline (pre-test), 1 month (post-test), and 3 months (follow-up) using validated scales and a nurse follow-up form to evaluate knowledge, self-efficacy, behaviors, and clinical foot health indicators.
