Students will complete the WHO Hand Hygiene Knowledge Questionnaire and undergo Glo Germ-based fluorescent assessment of handwashing technique at baseline, immediately after the training, approximately two weeks later, at the end of the first semester, and just before their first clinical placements. The primary objective is to determine whether the training improves and sustains hand hygiene technique quality over time, while secondary objectives include changes in hand hygiene knowledge and the relationship between knowledge and technique",[28,29,30,31],"Hand Hygiene Compliance","Hand Hygiene Effectiveness","Hand Hygiene","Hand Hygiene Behavior","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-08-10",{"date":35,"type":36},"2026-08-11","ACTUAL",{"date":38,"type":22},"2026-10-15",{"date":40,"type":22},"2027-06-30",{"name":42,"class":43},"Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences","OTHER",{"id":45,"slug":46,"hasResults":11,"nctId":47,"briefTitle":48,"officialTitle":49,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":50,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":18,"maxAge":51,"enrollmentInfo":52,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":23,"phases":54,"briefSummary":55,"conditions":56,"keywords":57,"overallStatus":63,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":64,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":65,"startDateStruct":67,"completionDateStruct":69,"leadSponsor":71,"locationsCount":53},"100638884","tailor-vha-hh-bundle-for-acute-mental-health-care-100638884","NCT07607145","Tailor VHA HH Bundle for Acute Mental Health Care","Tailor the Evidence-based Practice Veteran Health Administration (VHA) Hand Hygiene (HH) Bundle for Acute Mental Health Care Settings and Improve Hand Hygiene Compliance (QUE 25-023)","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* VA mental health care workers on inpatient mental health units\n* Quality improvement staff including infection control\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Outpatient care settings","90 Years",{"count":53,"type":22},4,[25],"Mental health settings are particularly vulnerable to outbreaks and transmission due to infectious pathogens like norovirus. This occurs since access to soap and water (sinks) is limited for safety reasons and alcohol hand rub is not available outside patient rooms because of concerns for ingestion and fire. Thus, novel hand hygiene improvement interventions are needed in mental health settings including new hand hygiene bundles tailored to VHA mental health settings and novel alcohol-free hand rubs that are safe for installation and use in mental health settings. Non-alcohol hand rub has been approved and is currently used in some VAs, but isn't currently a standard VA-wide practice. These products can expand access to hand hygiene in locations where alcohol-based products are not allowed.",[28],[58,59,60,61,62],"Infection Control (IC)","Hospital-associated infections (HAI)","Hand Hygiene (HH)","Compliance","Health Care Workers (HCWs)","RECRUITING","2026-06-02",{"date":66,"type":36},"2026-06-04",{"date":68,"type":36},"2026-06-01",{"date":70,"type":22},"2030-09-30",{"name":72,"class":73},"VA Office of Research and Development","FED"]
