The research design was a single-arm intervention study with 30 participants. The intervention consists of two sessions of poem writing, each lasting for 3 hours, led by experienced Chinese teachers or drama directors. The themes of the poems will focus on accomplishment, joy, and gratitude. The primary outcomes are mental well-being and happiness, measured using the Short Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale and a single-item happiness scale. Feasibility outcomes include recruitment rate, retention rate, and acceptability of the interventions. Secondary outcomes include depressive symptoms, anxiety, interest in poem writing, perceived benefits after the activity, and the number of successfully written poems. The proposal also includes plans for in-depth interviews with participants to gather qualitative data. The results will be analyzed descriptively and narratively, with no efficacy statistical tests due to the nature of this feasibility study. The proposal highlights the potential of poem writing as a therapeutic tool for volunteers serving patients recovering from mental illness, enhancing their overall well-being.",[26,27],"Well-Being, Psychological","Happiness","RECRUITING","2026-03-11",{"date":31,"type":32},"2026-03-13","ACTUAL",{"date":34,"type":32},"2024-06-13",{"date":36,"type":20},"2027-03-31",{"name":38,"class":39},"Hong Kong Metropolitan University","OTHER",1,{"id":42,"slug":43,"hasResults":11,"nctId":44,"briefTitle":45,"officialTitle":46,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":47,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":48,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":49,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":21,"phases":51,"briefSummary":52,"conditions":53,"keywords":60,"overallStatus":64,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":65,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":66,"startDateStruct":68,"completionDateStruct":70,"leadSponsor":72,"locationsCount":40},"100562918","the-effect-of-nature-and-game-based-activities-on-older-people-100562918","NCT06609408","The Effect of Nature and Game Based Activities on Older People","The Effect of Nature and Game Based Activities on Happiness, Spiritual Well-Being, Frailty and Cognitive Status of Older People in Nursing Home","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Older people who have been in a nursing home for at least 6 months,\n* Older people aged 65 years and over,\n* Older people with a Mini Mental State score of 24 and above,\n* Older people who are open to communication and co-operation will be included in the study.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Older people with physical problems that may prevent them from participating in nature and game based activities (such as stroke, Parkinson\\'s),\n* Older people with visual and hearing loss that may pose an obstacle to nature and game based activities,\n* Older people with mental problems (such as dementia) that would prevent participation in nature and game based activities were excluded from the study.","65 Years",{"count":50,"type":20},52,[23],"The purpose of this study is determine the effect of nature and game based activities on happiness, spiritual well-being, frailty and cognitive status of older people in nursing home.\n\nHypotheses of the Research H0: Nature and game-based activities don't affect the happiness, spiritual well-being, cognitive function and frailty of older people in nursing home.\n\nH1a: Happiness levels of older people in nursing home will be an increase after nature and game-based activities.\n\nH1b: Spiritual well-being levels of older people in nursing home will be an increase after nature and game-based activities.\n\nH1c: Cognitive function levels of older people in nursing home will be an increase after nature and game-based activities.\n\nH1d: Frailty status of older people in nursing home will be a decrease after nature and game-based activities.",[54,55,56,27,57,58,59],"Nature, Human","Older People","Nursing Home","Spiritual Well-being","Frailty","Cognitive Ability, General",[61,55,56,27,62,58,63],"Nature","Spiritual Well-Being","Cognition","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2025-06-11",{"date":67,"type":32},"2025-06-12",{"date":69,"type":20},"2025-07-01",{"date":71,"type":20},"2026-05-01",{"name":73,"class":39},"Ondokuz Mayıs University",{"id":75,"slug":76,"hasResults":11,"nctId":77,"briefTitle":78,"officialTitle":78,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":79,"healthyVolunteers":80,"sex":16,"minAge":48,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":81,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":21,"phases":83,"briefSummary":84,"conditions":85,"keywords":89,"overallStatus":28,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":94,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":95,"startDateStruct":97,"completionDateStruct":99,"leadSponsor":101,"locationsCount":40},"100577400","effectiveness-of-information-technology-assisted-horticultural-therapy-program-on-heart-rate-variability-stress-depression-and-happiness-among-older-adults-resident-in-long-term-care-facilities-100577400","NCT06797804","Effectiveness of Information Technology-Assisted Horticultural Therapy Program on Heart Rate Variability, Stress, Depression and Happiness Among Older Adults Resident in Long-Term Care Facilities","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n1.
