Despite this context, the risk of zoonotic diseases in prisons remains poorly documented, even though endemic and epidemic circulation of Q fever has already been described at the French Guiana correctional facility. This study aims to document this risk in a systematic and prospective manner.\n\nThe main objective is to assess the prevalence of zoonotic infections (Q fever, leptospirosis, Chagas disease, histoplasmosis, and toxoplasmosis) among inmates at the French Guiana Correctional Facility in 2026-2027.\n\nThe other objectives are :\n\n* To measure the seroprevalence of zoonotic infections among new arrivals at the French Guiana correctional facility;\n* To identify individual risk factors, both within and outside the prison, for acquiring zoonotic infections;\n* To analyze the results in relation to bioclimatic data (wind direction, humidity, precipitation, temperature) The expected benefits will aim to objectively assess the risk of zoonotic diseases within the French Guiana correctional facility, to improve understanding of zoonoses in prison settings, to guide the implementation of appropriate prevention and screening measures, and to contribute to improving health conditions in detention.\n\nIt should also strengthen cooperation between health and justice officials as part of an integrated approach to the prevention and management of infectious diseases.",[53,54,55,25,56],"Q Fever","Leptospirosis","Chagas Disease","Toxoplasmosis Infection",[58,59,60,61,62],"French Guiana","Prison health","zoonotic infections","correctional facility","cohort study","2026-09-02",{"date":65,"type":30},"2026-09-09",{"date":27,"type":19},{"date":68,"type":19},"2028-10",{"name":70,"class":37},"Centre Hospitalier de Cayenne",1,{"id":73,"slug":74,"hasResults":11,"nctId":75,"briefTitle":76,"officialTitle":76,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":77,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":15,"minAge":16,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":78,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":20,"phases":80,"briefSummary":82,"conditions":83,"keywords":88,"overallStatus":26,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":93,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":94,"startDateStruct":96,"completionDateStruct":98,"leadSponsor":100,"locationsCount":101},"100654891","phase-2-platform-trial-for-salvage-consolidation-therapy-in-dimorphic-fungi-100654891","NCT07804368","Platform Trial for Salvage Consolidation Therapy in Dimorphic Fungi","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Diagnosis of coccidioidomycosis, blastomycosis, or histoplasmosis and on active therapy\n* Age 18 years or older\n* Anticipated need for at least 6 additional months of antifungal therapy at enrollment\n* Intolerance, failure, or unavailability of current first-line consolidation therapy\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Currently hospitalized\n* Central nervous system involvement of coccidioidomycosis, blastomycosis, or histoplasmosis\n* Previous administration of or allergy to study drug\n* Any condition for which participation would not be in the best interest of the participant or that could limit protocol-specified assessments\n* Females of childbearing potential\n* Breast Cancer Resistance Protein substrate medication interaction that cannot be managed by switching medication, discontinuation, 50% dose reduction, or use of the lowest dose\n* Children\n* Pregnant women\u002Fpersons\n* Fetuses\n* Neonates\n* Prisoners\n* Adults lacking capacity to consent or adults with diminished or fluctuating capacity to consent",{"count":79,"type":19},30,[81],"PHASE2","This Phase II platform trial will evaluate the safety, tolerability, and effectiveness of investigational antifungal agents as salvage or consolidation therapy in adults with dimorphic fungal infections, including coccidioidomycosis, blastomycosis, and histoplasmosis.\n\nThe study will enroll adults who are receiving active antifungal therapy and who have intolerance, failure, or unavailability of standard first-line consolidation therapy.
