A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Diagnosis of myogenous TMD\u002Fmyalgia according to DC\u002FTMD.\n* Pain modified by jaw movement, function, or parafunction.\n* Familiar pain reproduced during standardized masseter\u002Ftemporalis examination.\n* Clinical evidence of medial pterygoid involvement.\n* Medial pterygoid provocation reproduces the patient's familiar pain.\n* Symptoms present for at least 3 months.\n* No major competing odontogenic cause for the patient's pain.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Predominantly arthrogenous TMD.\n* Trigeminal neuralgia or other neuropathic facial pain.\n* Active systemic inflammatory or infectious disease affecting the masticatory muscles.\n* Significant neuromuscular disease.\n* Pregnancy or breastfeeding.\n* Previous BoNT-A injection into the relevant masticatory muscles during the predefined washout period.\n* Known hypersensitivity to the study medication or formulation components.\n* Local infection at the injection site.\n* Significant bleeding disorder.\n* Clinically significant uncontrolled anticoagulation.\n* Previous major surgery involving the medial pterygoid region that could alter anatomy.","ALL","18 Years",{"count":19,"type":20},111,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[23],"NA","Masticatory myofascial pain syndrome (MMPS) is a common and debilitating orofacial pain condition characterized by localized or referred pain originating from trigger points in the masticatory muscles. The condition significantly impairs quality of life, affecting mastication, speech, and psychosocial well-being.
