Males \\& females between 35 and 75 years of age\n2. Females not of child-bearing potential, defined as those who have undergone a sterilization procedure (e.g. hysterectomy, bilateral oophorectomy, bilateral tubal ligation, complete endometrial ablation) or have been post-menopausal for at least 1 year prior to screening Or,\n\n   Individuals of child-bearing potential must have a negative baseline urine pregnancy test and agree to use a medically approved method of birth control for the duration of the study. All hormonal birth control must have been in use for a minimum of three months. Acceptable methods of birth control include:\n   * Hormonal contraceptives including oral contraceptives, hormone birth control patch (Ortho Evra), vaginal contraceptive ring (NuvaRing), injectable contraceptives (Depo-Provera, Lunelle), or hormone implant (Norplant System)\n   * Double-barrier method\n   * Intrauterine devices\n   * Non-heterosexual lifestyle and agrees to use contraception if planning on changing to heterosexual partner(s)\n   * Vasectomy of partner at least 6 months prior to screening\n   * Abstinence and agrees to use contraception if planning on becoming sexually active during the study\n3. A KOOS Pain Subscale score ≥25 and ≤75\n5. Target knee is the primary source of lower-limb pain limiting walking and daily function, as confirmed by the QI\n6. A KOOS Function in daily living (ADL) score ≥25 and ≤ 80\n7. Travel less than 85% of predicted distance on the 6MWT as calculated using the Enright and Sherrill equation at screening (15)\n8. Agrees to refrain from taking any pain relievers during the study, except acetaminophen as a rescue medication specified by the study site\n9. Agrees to refrain from taking rescue medication for 48 hours prior to study visits\n10. LBP during pregnancy can significantly limit mobility, reduce daily activity levels, and impair the quality of life. Conservative interventions like prenatal stretching and kinesiotaping are commonly used by physiotherapists. Stretching improves flexibility and reduces musculoskeletal stress, while kinesiotaping offers support, reduces pain perception, and promotes better posture. However, there is limited clinical evidence evaluating their combined effect in pregnant women with LBP.\n\nThis study will be randomized controlled trial and will be conducted at Rahim Yar Khan hospital and Hamdani Hospital Rahim Yar khan .Non-probability convenience sampling technique will be used. Inclusion criteria include Gestational age 20 -34 weeks with low back pain and age between 18-35 years .Baseline measurement include pain (measured by using 10 cm Numeric Pain rating scale ) mobility (measured by Schober Test) quality of life( SF36 questionaire). PHPT, a common endocrine disorder in older adults, is associated with reduced muscle strength, mobility, and quality of life. This prospective observational study will enroll up to 80 participants aged 60 and older undergoing parathyroidectomy at UF Health. Participants will complete physical performance tests, wear an Actigraph device to assess physical activity, and provide blood samples for biomarker analysis at pre- and post-operative time points. The goal is to characterize changes in physical function and activity following surgery and to identify biomarkers that may predict mobility improvements. Tablets for oral use and suppositories for rectal use are the most frequently employed forms of acetaminophen after surgery. Intravenous (IV) acetaminophen is widely used in several countries but is not a standard medication for the adult population in Canada. It is mainly considered when it is impossible to take medication in tablet or suppository form. Opioids (Morphine, Hydromorphone, Oxycodone, etc.) are another class of medications commonly used after surgery for pain management. While they are generally very effective and stronger than acetaminophen or other pain relievers (e.g., ibuprofen\u002FAdvil), reducing their use is preferable, as they can cause various side effects such as nausea, dizziness, and dependence. IV acetaminophen may help control pain while also reducing opioid consumption. However, there are few high-quality scientific studies proving the benefits of IV acetaminophen compared to other forms, such as tablets or suppositories. Acetaminophen has been available in Canada for many years and has already been recommended for use in Quebec by the Institut national d'excellence en santé et services sociaux (INESSS) under certain conditions.
