The American Society of Anesthesiologists Physical Status (ASA-PS) classification is commonly used before surgery to estimate risk. However, ASA-PS does not directly measure nutritional depletion or muscle weakness, which are critical risk factors in geriatric patients.\n\nThe Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index (GNRI) is a simple, objective screening tool calculated from preoperative serum albumin levels and body weight.\n\nThe purpose of this observational study is to evaluate the role of GNRI in predicting postoperative pulmonary complications and to determine whether adding GNRI to the standard ASA-PS classification improves the ability to identify older patients at high risk for lung complications after major abdominal surgery.",[24],"Postoperative Pulmonary Complications (PPC)",[26,27,28,29],"Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index","ASA Physical Status","Postoperative Pulmonary Complications","Elective Major Abdominal Surgery","RECRUITING","2026-10-02",{"date":33,"type":34},"2026-10-07","ACTUAL",{"date":31,"type":34},{"date":37,"type":20},"2027-08-01",{"name":39,"class":40},"Dr Abdurrahman Yurtaslan Ankara Oncology Training and Research Hospital","OTHER"]
