amputation.\n* Age 18 to 65 years.\n* Participants must use an energy-storing and return (ESAR) prosthetic foot.\n* Able to walk and stand without the use of walking aids.\n* Absence of comorbidities known to impact balance and mobility.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Bilateral amputees or individuals with amputation levels other than transtibial.\n* Individuals under 18 years or over 65 years of performance in adults with a unilateral transtibial amputation who use a lower limb prosthesis.\n\nThe main questions it aims to answer are:\n\n* Does footwear type affect gait characteristics such as gait speed, stride length, cadence, prosthetic foot clearance, and stance phase duration?\n* Does footwear type affect kinetic measures such as ground reaction forces and ankle power variables during walking?\n* Does footwear type affect in-shoe plantar pressure distribution?\n* Do participants perceive differences in comfort and stability between footwear conditions?\n\nParticipants will:\n\n* Attend a laboratory-based gait analysis session at the University of Salford.\n* Complete walking tasks while wearing four footwear conditions: their own preferred footwear, an Oxford shoe, a running\u002Fwalking shoe, and a shoe with a forefoot rocker profile.\n* Perform straight-line walking, incline and decline walking, and S-shaped walking tasks.\n* Wear reflective markers and in-shoe Balance Training in Traumatic Lower-Limb Prosthesis Users","Effectiveness of Dual-Task Balance Training on Balance, Mobility, and Mental Health Among Traumatic Lower-Limb Prosthesis Users in the Gaza Strip: A Randomized Controlled Trial","DTBT-LLA","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Adults aged 18 years or older.\n* Traumatic unilateral lower-limb amputation.\n* Transtibial or transfemoral amputation level.\n* Current lower-limb prosthesis user.\n* Able to stand and walk with the prosthesis, with or without an assistive device.\n* Medically stable and able to participate in a rehabilitation training program.\n* Able to understand and follow study instructions.\n* Provides written informed consent.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Lower-limb amputation due to dysvascular, congenital, or non-traumatic causes.\n* Bilateral lower-limb amputation.\n* Severe cognitive impairment that prevents understanding or following study instructions.\n* Severe visual, vestibular, neurological, or randomized controlled trial will evaluate the effectiveness of dual-task balance training on balance, mobility, and mental health among traumatic lower-limb prosthesis users in the Gaza Strip. Participants will be randomly assigned to either an experimental group receiving dual-task balance training in addition to standard rehabilitation or a control group receiving standard rehabilitation only. The intervention will be delivered over 6 weeks, with three sessions per week.
