Virtual reality (VR) has emerged as a promising non-pharmacological tool for anxiety and pain reduction in various medical settings.\n\nThe HYPNO-VR study is a prospective randomized controlled trial designed to evaluate the effect of immersive virtual reality during interventional radiology procedures. Participants will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to either a virtual reality group or a standard care control group.\n\nThe primary objective is to assess the impact of VR on procedural anxiety and pain using validated anxiety questionnaires (State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, STAI) and a numerical pain rating scale.\n\nSecondary and exploratory objectives include assessment of patient satisfaction, operator experience, procedural duration, analgesic use, and feasibility of VR integration in interventional radiology practice.",[26,27,28],"Anxiety","Pain","Radiology, Interventional",[30,31,32,33,34,35,36,37],"Virtual Reality","Interventional Radiology","State-Trait Anxiety Inventory","Patient Satisfaction","Non-pharmacological Intervention","Immersive Virtual Reality","Procedural Anxiety","Procedural Pain","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-06-25",{"date":41,"type":42},"2026-06-29","ACTUAL",{"date":44,"type":20},"2026-06",{"date":46,"type":20},"2026-12",{"name":48,"class":49},"University Hospital, Clermont-Ferrand","OTHER",1,{"id":52,"slug":53,"hasResults":11,"nctId":54,"briefTitle":55,"officialTitle":56,"acronym":57,"eligibilityCriteria":58,"healthyVolunteers":59,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":60,"enrollmentInfo":61,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":21,"phases":63,"briefSummary":64,"conditions":65,"keywords":69,"overallStatus":73,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":74,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":75,"startDateStruct":77,"completionDateStruct":79,"leadSponsor":81,"locationsCount":50},"100542231","ct-guided-lung-biopsy-risk-optimization-method-100542231","NCT06340178","CT-guided Lung Biopsy Risk Optimization Method","CT-guided Lung Biopsy Risk Optimization Method - Effect of Fluid Application in the Pleural Cavity and the Gravitational Effect of Pleural Pressure","BROM-I","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Ability to provide informed consent (knowledge of project languages), \\>18 years.\n* Indeterminate or suspicious lung lesion unsuitable for transbronchial biopsy or Status after unsuccessful transbronchial biopsy\n* Indication for biopsy given by referring specialist (in patients).\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Preintervention bleeding into the pleural cavity\n* More than 1 lesion should be biopsied at the same time\n* Infiltration of the thoracic wall\n* Pregnancy",true,"100 Years",{"count":62,"type":20},198,[23],"The purpose of this randomized controlled study is to evaluate the extent to which injection of a small amount of fluid in the pleural cavity at the biopsy site may reduce the risk of pneumothoraces, in addition to patient positioning to allow biopsy in gravity-dependent areas of the lung.",[66,67,68,28],"Pneumothorax","Biopsy, Needle","Risk Factors",[70,68,71,72,66],"Image-Guided Biopsy","Tomography","Biopsy","RECRUITING","2026-01-29",{"date":76,"type":42},"2026-02-02",{"date":78,"type":42},"2025-09-29",{"date":80,"type":20},"2027-04-01",{"name":82,"class":49},"Insel Gruppe AG, University Hospital Bern",{"id":84,"slug":85,"hasResults":11,"nctId":86,"briefTitle":87,"officialTitle":88,"acronym":89,"eligibilityCriteria":90,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":91,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":21,"phases":93,"briefSummary":94,"conditions":95,"keywords":99,"overallStatus":73,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":104,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":105,"startDateStruct":107,"completionDateStruct":109,"leadSponsor":111,"locationsCount":50},"100574698","radiology-consultation-effectiveness-100574698","NCT06762665","RAdiology Consultation Effectiveness","Impact of Interventional Radiology Consultation on the Spinal Infiltrations Effectiveness","RACE","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patient 18 years of age or older\n* Referred to the imaging department for a peri-spinal injection under CT guidance.\n* Low back pain, dorsal pain, or neck pain with an average pain intensity of ≥ 5\u002F10 on NPRS.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patient unable to read and\u002For write French\n* Patient unable to condut a teleconsultation (no phone, no internet connection)\n* Current pregnancy, breastfeeding, or lack of effective contraception for women of childbearing age\n* Lack of consent\n* Legally protected population:\n\n * Adults protected by law (guardianship, curatorship, or judicial protection)\n * Non-emancipated minors\n * Individuals unable to express consent (research conducted in emergency situations)\n * Individuals deprived of liberty (by judicial or administrative decision, or involuntary hospitalization)\n* Not affiliated with a social security scheme or not benefiting from such a scheme\n* Participation in another research study with an ongoing exclusion period",{"count":92,"type":20},270,[23],"Performing a consultation with the radiologist before a spinal invasive procedure serves to foster a trusting physician-patient relationship.
