Phase I is a cross-sectional correlational study assessing distress, unmet care needs, resource awareness and utilization, social support, and health promotion practice. Phase II is a two-group randomized controlled trial comparing ICSM plus oncology case manager care with oncology case manager care and usual hospital care. The intervention includes nurse-led education and counseling, symptom management, emotional coping, problem-solving, social resource use, caregiving activity arrangement, and use of a web-based or LINE-based integrated resource system.",[27,28,29,30],"Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer","Advanced Lung Cancer","Caregiver Burden","Resource Utilization",[32,33,34,30,35,36,37,38,39,40],"Older Adults","Family Caregivers","Nurse-Led Intervention","Oncology Case Management","Web-Based Platform","LINE-Based Platform","Supportive Care","Psychological Distress","Quality of Life","RECRUITING","2026-07-12",{"date":44,"type":45},"2026-07-16","ACTUAL",{"date":47,"type":45},"2025-04-08",{"date":49,"type":21},"2027-06",{"name":51,"class":52},"National Taiwan University Hospital","OTHER",{"id":54,"slug":55,"hasResults":11,"nctId":56,"briefTitle":57,"officialTitle":58,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":59,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":4,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":60,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":62,"briefSummary":63,"conditions":64,"keywords":66,"overallStatus":41,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":70,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":71,"startDateStruct":73,"completionDateStruct":75,"leadSponsor":77,"locationsCount":79},"100592467","evaluating-a-our-practice-advisory-opa-to-optimize-hemoglobin-a1c-a1c-and-thyroid-stimulating-hormone-tsh-test-orders-100592467","NCT06993805","Evaluating a Our Practice Advisory (OPA) to Optimize Hemoglobin A1c (A1c) and Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH) Test Orders","Evaluation of Our Practice Advisory (OPA) Interventions on Hemoglobin A1c (A1c) and Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH) Short Interval Ordering","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* 18 years or older\n* Inpatient or observation stays within UCLA Health System hospitals\n* Hemoglobin A1c (A1c) and Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH) ordered, AND this lab was ordered and resulted within the prior 30 days\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Have an A1c or TSH ordered and do not have a result for one of these labs in the prior 30 days",{"count":61,"type":21},384,[24],"Our Practice Advisory (OPA) are essential tools in clinical decision-making. The alerts are designed to guide providers towards evidence-based practices and improve patient outcomes. The focus of this initiative is on Hemoglobin A1c (A1c) and Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH) testing, with the goal of addressing unnecessary repeat testing within a 30-day timeframe, which rarely yields significant new insights. Although randomization occurs at the patient level, the primary outcome of this study focuses on provider behavior and decision-making.\n\nBy focusing on this specific intervention, the study aims to optimize resource use, align test ordering with evidence-based guidelines, and support improved patient outcomes.
