However, these participants are not eligible to participate in the biomarker collection. This restriction is due to state regulatory requirements governing direct-to-consumer at-home laboratory specimen collection and processing that cannot be accommodated within the fully decentralized design of the biomarker collection. No alternative collection pathway is available under the current protocol.\n\n * To ensure compliance, state-of-residence logic is built into the enrollment platform. Participants who indicate a residential address in New York, New Jersey, or Rhode Island will not be presented with the biomarker collection consent or any associated study materials. This automated screening ensures that ineligible participants are not inadvertently enrolled in the collection. It is one of the most common reasons couples seek help, but no proven dyadic treatment currently exists. This study will test STEP, an online program designed to support couples with SDD. The investigators will compare two formats of STEP: one with therapist support and one self-guided, against a waitlist control group. The investigators will also assess how satisfied couples are and how they engage with the two online formats. This study will generate new data on how effective STEP is with and without guidance, and inform treatment guidelines.",[28],[58,59,60,61],"Psychoeducation","Sex Therapy","Online Intervention","Dyadic Treatment","RECRUITING","2026-01-01",{"date":65,"type":33},"2026-01-05",{"date":63,"type":33},{"date":68,"type":22},"2027-12-31",{"name":70,"class":71},"University of British Columbia","OTHER"]
