It is designed as a secondary analysis of data obtained from a previously conducted randomized controlled trial, with the addition of objective spinal measurements using the Spinal Mouse device. Functional performance will be assessed using standardized tests such as the 6-minute walk test and the timed up and go test. Statistical analysis will include correlation and regression models to determine whether spinal alignment parameters can predict functional outcomes. The findings are expected to provide insight into the biomechanical role of posture in functional recovery among individuals with upper cross syndrome.",[26,27,28],"Upper Cross Syndrome","Spinal Alignment","Functional Performance",[30,31,32],"upper cross syndrome","Spinal alignment","Functional performance","RECRUITING","2026-10-06",{"date":36,"type":37},"2026-10-09","ACTUAL",{"date":39,"type":37},"2026-08-25",{"date":41,"type":20},"2026-10-25",{"name":43,"class":44},"Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan","OTHER",1,{"id":47,"slug":48,"hasResults":11,"nctId":49,"briefTitle":50,"officialTitle":51,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":52,"healthyVolunteers":53,"sex":54,"minAge":55,"maxAge":56,"enrollmentInfo":57,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":21,"phases":59,"briefSummary":60,"conditions":61,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":64,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":65,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":66,"startDateStruct":68,"completionDateStruct":70,"leadSponsor":72,"locationsCount":45},"100655712","rigid-tapings-effects-on-posture-and-balance-in-office-workers-100655712","NCT07815769","Rigid Taping's Effects on Posture and Balance in Office Workers","Acute Effects of Rigid Taping on Spinal Alignment, Tragus Angle, Balance in Office Workers: A Spinal Mouse Assessment","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* be an individual who works at least 6 hours a day at a desk\n* not having had any musculoskeletal disorders or orthopedic surgery in the last 6 months\n* not use any postural support\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* having been diagnosed with chronic pain or postural deformity in the lower back, upper back, or neck region\n* having structural spinal disorders such as scoliosis, kyphosis, or lordosis\n* having undergone physical therapy or manual therapy within the last 3 months\n* having previously undergone rigid taping\n* pregnancy",true,"ALL","18 Years","45 Years",{"count":58,"type":20},30,[23],"This study looks at whether applying a rigid tape to the upper back can immediately improve posture and balance in people who spend long hours sitting at a desk. Thirty office workers will have their head and neck position, spinal posture, and standing balance measured, then the tape will be applied to gently support the upper back and shoulders in a more upright position. The same measurements will be repeated 15 minutes later, while the tape is still in place. The tape is a flexible, skin-safe material commonly used in sports and physical therapy; it contains no medication and is not expected to cause discomfort or side effects. By comparing the measurements taken before and after taping, the researchers hope to learn whether this simple, non-invasive technique can produce an immediate improvement in head and spinal alignment and in balance control. This study looks only at short-term (acute) effects and does not test whether the benefits, if any, last beyond the taping session. The results may help patients and health care providers understand whether taping could serve as a quick, low-risk tool to support better posture during long periods of desk work.",[62,27,63],"Office Workers","Balance Assessment","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-09-08",{"date":67,"type":37},"2026-09-11",{"date":69,"type":20},"2026-09-15",{"date":71,"type":20},"2026-10-30",{"name":73,"class":44},"Pamukkale University"]
