Patient-specific anatomical data will be acquired using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) and intraoral scanning and integrated to create a three-dimensional virtual model for treatment planning. Different dental procedures, including tooth extractions, dental implant placement, and orthodontic procedures, will be virtually planned before treatment. During the clinical procedure, the planned anatomical and procedural information will be visualized through an AR system, providing real-time guidance to the operator. The accuracy of AR-assisted treatment will be assessed by comparing the preoperative virtual plan with the postoperative clinical outcome, evaluating deviations between planned and achieved results.",[27,28,29],"Edentulism","Malocclusion; Displaced Teeth","TEETH EXTRACTION","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-09-24",{"date":33,"type":34},"2026-09-25","ACTUAL",{"date":36,"type":21},"2026-09-01",{"date":38,"type":21},"2026-11-01",{"name":40,"class":41},"University of Bari Aldo Moro","OTHER",1,{"id":44,"slug":45,"hasResults":11,"nctId":46,"briefTitle":47,"officialTitle":48,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":49,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":18,"minAge":50,"maxAge":51,"enrollmentInfo":52,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":54,"briefSummary":55,"conditions":56,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":61,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":62,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":63,"startDateStruct":65,"completionDateStruct":67,"leadSponsor":69,"locationsCount":42},"100657859","guided-root-slice-replantation-vs-socket-shielding-for-immediate-implant-placement-in-esthetic-zone-100657859","NCT07845019","Guided Root Slice Replantation vs. Socket Shielding for Immediate Implant Placement in Esthetic Zone","Artificial Intelligence Integrated Planning and Evaluation of Novel Fully Guided Autogenous Root Slice Replantation and Fully Guided Socket Shielding in Immediate Esthetic Implant Placement (Randomized Clinical Trial)","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n1. It will also learn whether using artificial intelligence (AI) to help plan the surgery improves the results.\n\nThe main questions it aims to answer are:\n\n* Does keeping part of the root in place using a technique called autogenous root slice replantation work as well as a similar technique called socket shielding, in terms of appearance and gum health around the implant?\n* Does AI-guided surgical planning improve accuracy, appearance, and gum health compared with traditional planning?\n\nResearchers will compare participants who receive autogenous root slice replantation to participants who receive the socket-shield technique to see if one produces better outcomes than the other. Both groups will have their implants placed using a 3D-printed surgical guide made from AI-assisted digital planning.\n\nParticipants will:\n\n* Have a tooth removed and an implant placed on the same day, using one of the two techniques\n* Have their surgery guided by a custom surgical guide, planned with AI assistance\n* Return for follow-up visits so researchers can check healing, gum appearance, and how well the implant fits with their smile",[29,57,58,59,60],"Esthetic Zone Implantology","Socket Shield Technique Implant Placement","Root Slicing","Guided Surgery Accuracy","RECRUITING","2026-09-22",{"date":64,"type":34},"2026-09-28",{"date":66,"type":34},"2026-06-16",{"date":68,"type":21},"2028-03-30",{"name":70,"class":41},"Minia University"]
