This cross-sectional study aims to evaluate the association of platelet indices and ABO blood groups with vascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Eligibility criteria

Age 18 years or older
Confirmed diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus according to ADA criteria
Written informed consent
Disqualifiers
Type 1 diabetes mellitus
Gestational diabetes
Acute infection or sepsis
Hematological disorders affecting platelet count or function
Trial population
Adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus attending the Internal Medicine Department and Diabetes Center at Assiut University Hospital.
