About this trial
his study will investigate the immediate effects of an integrated myofascial release intervention on regional thoracoabdominal mobility in healthy adults. Participants will undergo baseline assessments followed by a single standardized session of integrated myofascial release therapy targeting selected thoracic and abdominal myofascial regions. Thoracoabdominal mobility and thoracic excursion will be reassessed immediately after the intervention. The primary aim is to determine whether integrated myofascial release produces acute changes in regional thoracoabdominal mobility. The study is intended to characterize the immediate biomechanical response to the intervention in healthy adults.
Eligibility criteria
This trial accepts healthy volunteersQualifiers
Adults aged 18-40 years.
Apparently healthy individuals without a diagnosed respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, or musculoskeletal disorder that may affect thoracic or trunk mobility.
Ability to understand the study procedures and provide written informed consent.
Ability to complete all pre- and post-intervention assessments.
Disqualifiers
Current acute respiratory infection or other acute illness.
History of thoracic, abdominal, or spinal surgery that may affect thoracoabdominal mobility.
Current musculoskeletal pain or injury involving the thorax, spine, shoulder girdle, or abdominal region.
Known neurological or systemic disease affecting mobility or soft tissue function.

Integrated Myofascial Release Therapy
Other interventionParticipants will receive one standardized session of integrated myofascial release therapy applied manually to selected thoracic and abdominal myofascial regions. The intervention will include sustained, low-load manual techniques directed at the soft tissues and fascial structures of the thoracoabdominal region. The same standardized treatment sequence will be applied to all participants by a trained physiotherapist. Regional thoracoabdominal mobility and thoracic excursion will be assessed immediately before and immediately after the intervention.

Primary outcomes
Change in Regional Thoracoabdominal Excursion
Regional thoracoabdominal excursion will be assessed using a tape measure at predefined anatomical levels of the thorax and abdomen. At each level, the difference in circumference between maximal inspiration and maximal expiration will be recorded in centimeters. Changes from baseline to immediately after the integrated myofascial release intervention will be analyzed separately for each anatomical level, allowing comparison of regional mobility responses.
