Continuous Versus High Intensity Interval Exercise in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is characterized by exercise intolerance, which is a prognostic factor of disease severity and mortality and is usually attributed to ventilatory limitations. Emerging evidence indicates that cerebral oxygenation may also be an important contributor, being impaired both at rest and during exercise in COPD patients. Furthermore, abnormal systemic hemodynamic responses and autonomic nervous system (ANS) dysfunction have been observed, which may further impair cerebral oxygenation. The type of exercise training applied in pulmonary rehabilitation (continuous versus interval) appears to influence these mechanisms differently, yet evidence on their impact on cerebral oxygenation in COPD remains scarce. The aim of this study is to compare, for the first time, the acute changes in cerebral oxygenation, CPET parameters, systemic hemodynamic responses, and autonomic responses in patients with COPD who undergo a high-intensity interval aerobic exercise (HIIE) protocol versus a moderate-intensity continuous aerobic exercise (MICE) protocol. These findings will have important clinical implications, as they may guide the choice of the most appropriate exercise modality in pulmonary rehabilitation.

Researchers are looking for new ways to treat advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC). A standard (usual) treatment for certain people with RCC is belzutifan (a study medicine), which is a targeted therapy. Targeted therapy is a treatment that works to control how specific types of cancer cells grow and spread. Researchers want to learn if adding another targeted therapy called zanzalintinib (another study medicine) can treat more people with advanced RCC than belzutifan alone. The goal of this study is to learn if people who receive belzutifan and zanzalintinib live longer overall and without the cancer getting worse compared to people who receive belzutifan and placebo.

A Trial to Study if REGN17372 in Combination With Linvoseltamab is Tolerable for Adult Participants With Relapsed/Refractory Multiple Myeloma

This study is researching a drug called REGN17372 used with another drug called linvoseltamab (each individually called "study drug" or "study drugs" when combined) in participants with relapsed (when a tumor comes back) or refractory (when a tumor does not respond to treatment) multiple myeloma. This study is the first time REGN17372 will be given to humans. The aim of the study is to understand if REGN17372 can be given safely with linvoseltamab, and if so, what dosing regimen should be used for this treatment combination, in comparison with linvoseltamab alone. A Study to Evaluate Adverse Events and Change in Disease Activity of Intravenous ABBV-706 Versus Standard of Care in Adult Participants With Relapsed/Refractory Small Cell Lung Cancer

Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is characterized by aggressive and rapid growth and a tendency to develop early spread to distant sites including mediastinal lymph nodes, liver, bones, adrenal glands, and brain. The purpose of this study is to assess safety, tolerability, and change in disease activity of ABBV-706 compared to standard of care (SOC) treatment (topotecan, lurbinectedin, or amrubicin). ABBV-706 is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of SCLC. There are two treatment arms in this study. Participants will either receive ABBV-706 or SOC. Approximately 531 adult participants will be enrolled in the study across 175 sites worldwide. Participants with SCLC will receive intravenous (IV) ABBV-706 or SOC \[topotecan (IV or orally), or lubinectedin (IV), or amrubicin (IV)\]. The estimated duration of the study is approximately 53 months. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic and may require frequent medical assessments, blood tests, questionnaires, and scans.

Bevacizumab is a targeted therapy used as standard maintenance treatment. InRAD Observational Study

The goal of this international observational study is to evaluate long-term disease outcomes and treatment safety in people with Alzheimer's disease (PwAD), by collecting real-world data from routine clinical practice across global clinical centers. The InRAD Registry Observational Study has several aims: * To collect medical information for many years from a large group of people with Alzheimer's disease. This will be used for research, which will support improved understanding about the disease. * To enable researchers to look at the effectiveness, usefulness and safety of treatments for Alzheimer's disease. * To enable researchers to answer similar research questions and compare results in many different areas of the world. People with Alzheimer's disease who meet the eligibility criteria and agree to participate in the Study will be asked to visit their doctor (e.g. psychiatrist, geriatrician, or neurologist) at least once a year, or as frequently as is needed for their care. During or after their appointments they may be offered assessments, tests, medications, and treatments as determined by their doctor and their team. This is an observational data collection.

A Study to Learn More About How Risankizumab Works in Young Participants With Ulcerative Colitis

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a type of inflammatory bowel disease that causes inflammation and bleeding from the lining of the rectum and colon (large intestine). This study will assess how Risankizumab moves through the body as well as how safe and effective it is in treating pediatric participants with moderate to severely active UC. Adverse events and change in disease activity will be assessed. Risankizumab is an approved medication for moderate to severe UC in multiple countries and is being developed for the treatment of UC in pediatrics. This study is comprised of 3 cohorts that may participate in 3 substudies (SS). Cohort 1 will enroll participants with ages from 6 to less than 18 years. Cohort 2 will enroll participants with ages from 2 to less than 6 years. Cohort 3 will enroll participants with ages from 2 to less than 18 years. SS1 is an open-label induction period where participants will receive a weight-based induction regimen of risankizumab. SS2 is a double-blind maintenance period where participants will be randomized to receive 1 of 2 doses of weight-based maintenance regimen of risankizumab. SS3 is an open-label extension period where participants will receive risankizumab based off of their response in SS2. Around 120 pediatric participants with UC will be enrolled at around 80 sites worldwide. Participants in SS1 will receive risankizumab intravenously during the 12-week induction period. Participants in SS2 will receive risankizumab subcutaneously during the 52-week randomized maintenance period. Participants in SS3 will receive risankizumab subcutaneously during the 208-week open label period. Participants will be followed-up for approximately 140 days. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.

Burnout Syndrome in the Intensive Care Unit Before and During a Palliative Care Trial

One hundred ICU doctors, nurses and psychologists from the 28 units participating in the EPIC stepped-wedge trial (ClinicalTrials.gov NCT06605079) will each complete the same four-part survey twice-once during their unit's usual-care phase and again during the EPIC tele-palliative-care intervention. The questionnaire begins with Part A, gathering demographic and professional details such as age, gender, family status, education, role, years of ICU service, shift patterns, leave days and any prior palliative-care or ethics training. Part B then probes 22 workplace stressors and ethical dilemmas-resource constraints, family pressures, moral conflicts, emotional distancing from colleagues, perceived control over decisions and work-life balance-using a five-point frequency scale. Part C merges a 19-item Maslach Burnout Inventory subset (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment) on a seven-point frequency scale with a 16-item Oldenburg Burnout Inventory subset (exhaustion, disengagement) on a four-point agreement scale. Finally, Part D employs Neff's 16-item Self-Compassion Scale-rated from almost never to almost always-to assess self-kindness, common humanity, mindfulness, self-judgment, isolation and over-identification. Within-subject, repeated-measures analyses of total and subscale scores will quantify how EPIC's blended-learning curriculum and standardized teleconsultations shift clinician burnout profiles and self-compassion over time.

Researchers are looking for new ways to treat types of breast cancer that are both: * High-risk, which means the cancer may have a higher chance of getting worse or coming back after treatment * Early-stage, which means the cancer is in the breast or the lymph nodes around the breast The 2 types of breast cancer in this study are triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and hormone receptor (HR)-low positive/human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2) negative breast cancer. These cancers have zero or a low amount of a protein called HER2 and other proteins that attach to the hormones estrogen or progesterone. Sacituzumab tirumotecan (also known as sac-TMT or MK-2870), the study medicine, is a type of targeted therapy. A targeted therapy is a treatment that works to control how specific types of cancer cells grow and spread. A Study to Learn More About How Well Sevabertinib Works and How Safe it is Compared With Standard Treatment, in Participants Who Have Advanced Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) With Mutations of the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2)

Researchers are looking for a better way to treat people who have advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with specific genetic changes called human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) mutations. Advanced NSCLC means lung cancer that has spread nearby or to other parts of the body or is unlikely to be controlled with current treatments. HER2 is a protein that helps cells to grow and divide. Sometimes, cancer cells have a damaged HER2 gene. This is called a mutation. This mutation can lead to an abnormal HER2 protein which may cause cancer cells to grow and divide too quickly. The study treatment, sevabertinib, is designed to block the mutated HER2 protein and may help slow or stop the cancer from growing. The main purpose of this study is to find out how well sevabertinib works and how safe it is, compared with standard treatment in participants with advanced NSCLC with a HER2 mutation. The study participants will receive one of the study treatments: * Sevabertinib as a tablet taken by mouth twice a day * Standard approved treatment for this condition given by infusion into a vein every 21 days Participants will continue their assigned treatment for as long as they benefit from it and do not experience severe side effects, or until they or their doctor decide to stop treatment. When a participant assigned to the standard treatment has their cancer gets worse, they may have the opportunity to switch to receive sevabertinib. This switch is called a crossover. Participants who switch to sevabertinib will continue this treatment until their disease gets worse again, they have side effects that are too severe, or they or their doctor decide to stop treatment. During the study, the research team will: * do scans such as CT, PET, MRI, or X-rays to check the cancer * Check the overall health of the participants by performing tests such as blood and urine tests and checking heart health using an electrocardiogram and echocardiogram. * do pregnancy tests when needed * ask how the participants are feeling and whether they have had any adverse events or other health problems An adverse event is any medical problem that a participant has during a study. Doctors keep track of all adverse events, irrespective if they think it is related or not to the study treatment.

Sacituzumab Tirumotecan (MK-2870) Plus Pembrolizumab Versus TPC in TNBC Who Did Not Achieve pCR (MK-2870-012)

This is a randomized, open-label study comparing the efficacy and safety of adjuvant sacituzumab tirumotecan (MK-2870) in combination with pembrolizumab compared to treatment of physician's choice (TPC) in participants with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) who received neoadjuvant therapy and did not achieve a pathological complete response (pCR) at surgery. The primary objective is to compare sacituzumab tirumotecan plus pembrolizumab to TPC (pembrolizumab or pembrolizumab plus capecitabine) with respect to invasive disease-free survival (iDFS) per investigator assessment. It is hypothesized that sacituzumab tirumotecan plus pembrolizumab is superior to TPC with respect to iDFS per investigator assessment.
