MPNdpoint. Single-center, Retrospective, Prospective Study of the Outcome of Patients With Philadelphia-negative Chronic Myeloproliferative Neoplasms
Chronic myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) are hematologic disorders of the myeloid lineage characterized by clonal proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells, high risk of thrombotic-hemorrhagic complications, and transformation into secondary acute myeloid leukemia. MPNs include: myelofibrosis, polycythemia vera, and essential thrombocythemia. The low incidence, comparable to that of rare diseases, induces the in-depth study of patients and thus the need to develop a project with databases to collect clinical, biological, and therapeutic information.
