General Anesthetic Drug Adverse Reaction

In patients undergoing general anesthesia with planned tracheal intubation , a prospective, randomized, controlled study was conducted to record the occurrence of cough 2 minutes after injection of Sufentanil or Tegilerdine. The cough was graded based on the frequency and duration: Grade I, no cough; Grade II, a single mild cough; Grade III, multiple coughs with duration \<1 second; Grade IV, continuous coughing with a duration \>15 seconds.

In this observational study, we will assess cFT by Carotid ultrasound and IVC collapsibility index for prediction of hypotension after induction of general anesthesia in geriatric patients undergoing elective surgery.

Frailty among patients undergoing surgery is strongly associated with an elevated risk of adverse perioperative outcomes, heightened incidence of postoperative complications, increased mortality rates, and prolonged hospital length of stay. Our focus centers on investigating the frailty index in the context of complications experienced by patients undergoing oncologic gynecology surgery. The principal objective of this research is to elucidate the extent to which residual neuromuscular blocking agents are linked to frailty.

The aim of this study is to investigate if it is feasible to use a protocol in which avoiding oxygen desaturation in the brain during general anaesthesia can reduce the risk of negative postoperative behavior changes in children. We will recruit children from at least five centres around the world for this feasibility study. Brain oxygenation will be monitored with Near Red Infrascopy (NIRS) which is like a saturation monitor placed on the forehead of the child during anesthesia. The anesthesia is done as per routine, but we will ask the anesthesiologist to record what actions they took when there were signs of decreasing oxygen saturation in the brain. We will also ask the parents to fill in a questionnaire with 27 questions about changes in their child's behavior 7 days after the operation.

The study aims to improve the safety of the electroporation ablation (PFA) procedure by using muscle relaxants to reduce skeletal muscle damage during the procedure. It will also assess myocardial damage to improve the procedure's quality and speed up recovery after the procedure.
