Acute Effects of Neurodynamics on Strength and Endurance in Athletes

This study explores the acute effects of neurodynamics, an intervention commonly used by physical therapist to improve nerve mobility and decrease pain, on the strength and muscular endurance in the athletic population. This study aims to find if these interventions can maintain or promote strength and endurance in the hamstrings. The studies results will help physical therapist better prescribe exercise and hands-on treatment for hamstring and sciatic nerve related conditions and injuries.

Effectiveness of Dry Needling in Athletes With Chronic Hamstring Strain

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of dry needling in reducing pain and improving functional outcomes in athletes with chronic hamstring strain. Chronic hamstring injuries are common among athletes and often lead to persistent pain, reduced performance, and limitations in daily and sports activities. Dry needling is a therapeutic technique used to target myofascial trigger points and relieve muscle tension. This study will compare the effects of dry needling with conventional physiotherapy interventions to determine its role in managing chronic hamstring strain. Participants will be athletes diagnosed with chronic hamstring strain. Outcomes will include pain intensity, muscle flexibility, and functional performance. The results of this study may help improve rehabilitation strategies and provide evidence for the use of dry needling in sports injuries.

BPC 157 for Acute Hamstring Muscle Strain Repair

This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 2 study evaluates whether pentadecapeptide BPC 157 (BPC-157), an investigational peptide, can speed structural healing and functional recovery after an acute grade II hamstring muscle strain. Participants will receive BPC 157 or placebo for 14 days in addition to a standardized rehabilitation program. The co-primary endpoints are time to return to unrestricted sport and change in MRI-assessed injury volume at Day 14.
