A Study to Test the Non-Inferiority of Ferric Bepectate IV Against Ferric Carboxymaltose in Patients With Iron Deficiency Anemia

The goal of this clinical trial is to see if a new intravenous iron formulation (Ferric Bepectate IV Injection) can treat adult patients with iron deficiency anemia (IDA) by increasing blood hemoglobin (Hb) as an established formulation (Ferric carboxymaltose). It will also learn about the safety of Ferric Bepectate IV Injection. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does hemoglobin increase by the same amount 6 weeks after each treatment? * What medical problems do participants have when being treated with the drug? Researchers will compare single dose treatment plans of Ferric Bepectate to double dose treatment plans of both Ferric Bepectate and Ferric carboxymaltose. Participants and researchers will know which drug they are being provided (open-label). Participants will visit the clinic 5 times over 6 weeks for checkups, blood tests and questionaries. The first two visits will be seven days apart and include the two doses of iron treatment.

Ferric Carboxymaltose Versus Iron Sucrose for Iron Deficiency Anemia After Radical Gastrectomy for Gastric Cancer

This is a multicenter, open-label, randomized controlled trial. A total of 160 patients with iron-deficiency anemia after radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer will be enrolled and randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio. Subjects in the experimental group will receive a single-dose intravenous ferric carboxymaltose on postoperative day 1, while the control group will receive multiple intravenous infusions of iron sucrose to achieve an identical total iron dose. All participants will follow standardized postoperative nutritional support and transfusion criteria. The primary endpoint is the hemoglobin response rate at postoperative week 3. Secondary endpoints include changes in hemoglobin and iron-related biomarkers, transfusion requirements, postoperative complications, functional recovery, and the incidence of adverse events. This study aims to compare the efficacy and safety of the two intravenous iron preparations and provide evidence for optimal postoperative iron supplementation for gastric cancer surgical patients.

Comparison of Ferrous Salt vs. Liposomal Iron in Adult Women With Iron-Deficiency Anemia

The goal of this study is to compare ferrous salt and liposomal iron for the treatment of iron-deficiency anemia in adult women. The study will also evaluate how well each treatment is tolerated. The main questions this study aims to answer are: Does liposomal iron increase hemoglobin levels as effectively as ferrous salt? Are there differences in side effects, especially gastrointestinal symptoms, between the treatments? Does dosing ferrous salt every other day improve tolerance compared to daily dosing? Researchers will compare three oral iron treatment strategies to determine which approach provides the best balance between effectiveness and tolerability. Participants will: Be adult women diagnosed with iron-deficiency anemia Be randomly assigned to one of three groups: Daily ferrous salt Ferrous salt taken every other day Daily liposomal iron Take the assigned iron treatment for 3 months Have blood tests at the beginning and end of the study to measure hemoglobin and iron levels Report any side effects or intolerance during treatment

Oral Iron Supplementation on Alternate vs. Consecutive Days for Iron Deficiency Anemia in Pregnancy

This will be a randomized clinical trial. Enrolled subjects will be randomized (1:1) into two study arms to receive either daily (Group 1) or alternate day (Group 2) supplementation with one oral pill containing ferrous sulfate with an equivalent elemental iron dose of 65 mg per pill.

Efficacy and Tolerability of Sucrosomial® Iron vs Ferric Maltol in Iron Deficient Women

This study aims to compare two oral iron treatments, Sucrosomial® Iron and Ferric Maltol, in women with mild to moderate iron deficiency anemia. Many patients experience gastrointestinal side effects or poor tolerability with traditional iron supplements, which may limit adherence. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either Sucrosomial® Iron or Ferric Maltol for 12 weeks. The primary objective is to determine whether Sucrosomial® Iron is as effective as Ferric Maltol in normalizing hemoglobin levels.

Patient Blood Management in Patients Scheduled for Cardiac Surgery

The ICARUS 2 study has the general objective of collecting data in patients undergoing cardiac surgery; in our centre, in order to optimize and improve hemoglobin values, a team of haematologists, assisted by cardio anesthetists and cardiac surgeons, will evaluate the blood tests of patients scheduled for elective cardiac surgery in order to correct any states of hypoferritinemia (low iron in the blood) to promote recovery from blood losses related to cardiac surgery. This objective is strongly encouraged by the good use of blood programs currently in force at our foundation. In particular, the research presented here intends to demonstrate a reduction in the number of intra- and post-operative transfusions.
