Anatomical and Imaging Assessment of the Alveolar Antral Artery Canal Using CBCT

This research project aims to improve understanding of the alveolar antral artery canal, an anatomical structure located in the maxilla, using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). The project includes several studies examining the canal's anatomy and anatomical variations, as well as evaluating different CBCT-based methods for identifying and mapping the canal. The findings will help determine the accuracy and usefulness of these imaging approaches and may improve preoperative assessment and surgical planning for procedures involving the maxilla.

A Modified Sinus Floor Elevation Technique - a Pilot Study on 12 Patients

The aim of the present study is to establish a modified minimally invasive surgical technique for sinus floor augmentation with a residual bone height of 3-6mm. Hypothesis: The investigators expect that the present surgical technique allows to achieve an adequate implant bed of at least 10mm height after a healing period of 3-5 months. Further the modification of the technique enables a reduced patient stress level.

Clinical Application Strategies of Maxillary Sinus Buccal Bony Window

Through randomized controlled trials, investigators will recruit participants who need maxillary sinus floor elevation with different residual bone height, and utilize the maxillary sinus buccal bony window during the surgery. Then investigators will gather the related information of participants, collect and analyze their CBCT data, in order to help surgeons select the best operating method for different patients.
