Implementing Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy for Vaginismus: From Efficacy to Clinical Integration (VIVID 3)

Vaginismus, a condition characterized by involuntary tightening of the pelvic floor muscles due to strong fear of vaginal insertion, impact ≥6% of the female population and can make vaginal intercourse and medical exams difficult. This project explores virtual reality exposure (VRE) as a new treatment approach. Building on our two previous studies showing that VRE is feasible and effective in helping patients to gradually face feared sexual encounters in a virtual environment, we aim to implement our VRE protocol at the BC Centre for Vulvar Health (BCCVH). We will assess barriers/facilitators to implementation, clinician uptake, and patients' outcomes and engagement.

VIBRating vs Traditional Therapy for Treatment of ENTry Dyspareunia

The goal of this randomized controlled trial is to determine whether the use of a novel vibrating pelvic floor therapeutic device ("Kiwi") improves sexual function in sexually active women aged 18 and older with genito-pelvic pain and penetration disorder (GPPPD) more effectively than traditional vaginal dilators. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Does the use of the Kiwi device lead to higher sexual function scores compared to traditional vaginal dilators 2. Does the Kiwi device improve sexual distress, pain, and overall symptom severity more effectively than traditional vaginal dilators? Researchers will compare the Kiwi vibrating device to traditional cylindrical vaginal dilators to assess whether the Kiwi device results in greater improvements in sexual function and symptom relief. Participants will: * Be randomly assigned to use either the Kiwi device or traditional vaginal dilators. * Use the assigned device three times per week for 15 minutes per session over four weeks. * Complete surveys before and after the study, including assessments of sexual function, pain, and overall improvement.

Hydration and Acceptability of the Genital and Skin Mucosa of a Vaginal Moisturizer in Menopausal Women

Hyaluronic Acid is indicated for the relief of vaginal dryness, itching, and irritation, or the reduction of vaginal lubrication with prolonged hydration effects for up to 72 hours. Hyaluronic Acid promotes vaginal moisture, providing symptom relief in various situations such as: * Vaginismus and other sexual dysfunctions related to penetration * Users of hormonal contraceptives with lubrication loss * Postpartum and lactational period * Post antibacterial or antifungal therapies * During systemic oncological treatments (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormone therapy) * Climacteric (urogenital atrophy) * Post urogynecological surgeries (correction of urinary incontinence, genital dystopias, etc.) * Post vulvovaginal abrasive, chemical, laser, or high-frequency therapies * Post cosmetic and genital rejuvenation therapies
