Proof-of-Concept Trial to Assess the Efficacy and Safety of Fezolinetant in Improving Vasomotor Symptoms in Men With Prostate Cancer Undergoing Androgen Deprivation Therapy

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if fezolinetant can treat hot flashes (vasomotor symptoms) in men with prostate cancer undergoing androgen deprivation therapy. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does fezolinetant improve the frequency and severity of hot flashes? * Does fezolinetant cause any harm to the liver? * Does fezolinetant improve quality of life, sleep quality, fatigue, mood, sexual function, and metabolic parameters? Researchers will compare how people respond to fezolinetant versus a placebo, which does not contain any active medicine. Participants will: * Take fezolinetant or a placebo every day for 4 weeks * Visit the clinic once every 2 weeks for checkups and tests * Keep a diary of the number of times and intensity that they experience hot flashes

Waning Moon: A Whole Person Health Intervention Designed by and for Urban Menopausal American Indian/Alaska Native Women

This study tests the feasibility and acceptability of Waning Moon, a culturally tailored menopause health intervention developed in partnership with the Urban Indian Center of Salt Lake (UICSL) for American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) women. Waning Moon is a 4-session integrative medical group visit program delivered by community health workers and prescribing providers. It covers menopause education, complementary health approaches, and community support. Thirty midlife AI/AN women will participate. The study will assess whether the program is feasible to deliver and acceptable to participants and clinical partners.

Impact of Lean Pork on Endothelial Function in Perimenopause

The goal of this study is to examine the impact of a diet high in fresh lean pork, compared to a plant-based diet, on cardiovascular function and vasomotor symptoms in perimenopausal women with overweight and obesity. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. How does a diet high in pork, compared to a plant-based diet, affects blood lipids, endothelial function, and blood pressure? 2. How does a diet high in pork, compared to a plant-based diet, affects blood nitrate, cardiometabolic biomarkers, inflammatory biomarkers, and vasomotor symptoms? Researchers will compare the diet high in pork to a plant-based diet to see if pork helps improve cardiovascular and mesopause symptoms. Participants will: * Consume both of the diets, each for 4 weeks, with a washout period between 2 and 6 weeks in between the diets trials * Visit the clinic 5 times with weekly meal pick ups during the diet trials * Undergo testing procedures including: weight and body composition, blood pressure and pulse, endothelial function using ultrasound of upper arm, microvascular blood flow, blood draws, physical activity measurements, and questionnaires.
