DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF THE URINARY INCONTINENCE KINESIOPHOBIA SEVERITY SCALE

This study aims to develop and validate a novel Turkish-language self-report instrument, the Kinesiophobia Severity Scale in Urinary Incontinence (KSS-UI), to assess movement avoidance and fear of movement associated with concerns about urinary leakage in individuals with urinary incontinence. Following scale development, its validity and reliability will be evaluated through psychometric analyses in accordance with the Consensus-based Standards for the Selection of Health Measurement Instruments (COSMIN) recommendations.

Kinesiophobia, Physical Activity, Sleep, and Quality of Life in Women With Chronic Pelvic Pain

The study will include women who present to the Obstetrics and Gynecology outpatient clinic of Kırşehir Ahi Evran Training and Research Hospital with complaints of pelvic pain and are diagnosed with PCAS after a detailed examination, as well as healthy women. All included women will be administered the Tampa Kinesiophobia Scale (TKS), the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (Short), the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Questionnaire (PSQI), and the Short Form 36 (p-36). The control group will consist of women who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria but are not diagnosed with PCAS.

The Effect of Balneotherapy on Knee Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic degenerative disease characterized by the breakdown and repair processes of the cartilage structure in synovial joints. Balneotherapy is one of the most commonly applied treatment methods in patients with OA. It is used to reduce pain and stiffness, improve joint mobility and quality of life, and prevent disease progression. Hyperthermia caused by balneotherapy activates the sympathetic nervous system and the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. After heat stress, HSp levels in the blood increase, triggering the HSp-cytokine-HPA-cortisol anti-inflammatory feedback mechanism, resulting in an anti-inflammatory effect and neuroendocrine immune regulation. In various pathologies associated with low-grade inflammation-especially rheumatic diseases-balneotherapy and mud therapy have been reported to decrease serum concentrations of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-1β. Serum COMP levels are elevated in OA patients. There is evidence that measuring COMP levels could serve as a prognostic marker for the development of OA in patients with chronic knee pain. It is evaluated not only as a cartilage marker but also as an indicator of synovial inflammation. The aim of this study is to evaluate the response to inflammation and stress in patients with knee OA by examining the levels of CRP, IL-1 beta, COMP, and HSp following balneotherapy treatment. Additionally, changes in patients' quality of life and functional status after balneotherapy will also be evaluated.Fifty patients with primary osteoarthritis who meet the inclusion criteria and are receiving inpatient or outpatient treatment in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation clinic will be included in the study. It is planned to include 30 patients in the treatment group and 20 patients in the control group. Pain will be assessed using VAS, physical function and stiffness using WOMAC, and quality of life using the SF-36 scale. To determine the serum levels of COMP, IL-1 beta, CRP, and HSp70, blood samples will be collected under standard conditions from patients in a fasting state between 8:00-9:00 AM. Biochemical markers will be evaluated using ELISA kits. For balneotherapy, patients will be treated in a thermal pool for 15-20 minutes daily, with full-body immersion, for a total of 15 days.

Comparison of Two Different Intensity Exercises on Young Women With Obesity

Obesity is one of the most common preventable public health problems. Diet regulation and exercise practices are the most commonly used methods in reducing fat tissue. There are various exercise methods applied in the weight loss process and the effects of different types of exercise modalities on body fat rate and metabolic status. The aim of our study is to determine the effects of high intensity interval exercise and moderate intensity continuous exercise on serum , omentin, leptin and adiponectin levels, anthropometric measurements used in obesity follow up, body fat percentage and their effects on the quality of sleep and life of women with obesity.

Efficacy of the Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy in Athletes With Patellar Tendinopathy

The aim of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) in addition to eccentric exercise on the clinical outcomes of PT in the treatment of athletes with patellar tendinopathy (PT). Participants will be randomly divided into two groups. The intervention group will receive focus ESWT 3 times a week in addition to 6 weeks of exercise. The control group will be given 6 weeks of exercise. Evaluations will be made at the 3rd and 6th weeks, and at the 3rd, 6th and 12th months. Patient evaluation will begin with obtaining sociodemographic information. Patients' pain level will be assessed using visual analog scale (VAS), tendon pain and function VISA-P, functional capacity; The patients will be assessed with the maximal vertical jump test (MDS), single leg jump distance test (SLHD), single leg squat test (STS) on the incline board, pain catastrophe with the pain catastrophe scale (PCS), kinesiophobia with the Tampa Kinesiophobia Scale (TKS), quality of life short form-12 (SF-12) and physical activity level with the Tegner Activity Scale (TAS).
